All the events in Singapore were cancelled in the wake of Zubeen Garg's tragic death. He was an idol for millions in Assam and India, and lakhs of his fans turned up during his last rites. The Singapore Police Force (SPF) said they have extended a copy of the autopsy report, according to which he died after swimming in waters off Singapore island. However, while the Singapore authorities have ruled out foul play in Zubeen's death, his family is not so certain.

During the conversation, Garima Garg revealed that Zubeen Garg was unexpectedly taken for a picnic and swimming, despite being visibly exhausted from his previous tours. She questioned why the singer was not being taken care of, despite his manager being present. Zubeen's manager, Siddhartha Sharma and festival chief organiser, Shyamkanu Mahanta, were arrested in Delhi on October 1, 2025, in connection with the singer's death. They were booked for culpable homicide not amounting to murder, criminal conspiracy and causing death by negligence.

In the same conversation, Garima Garg revealed that she talked to Zubeen on the night of September 18, 2025, the night before the tragic accident took away his life. She shared that the the singer never mentioned his picnic plans, which indicate that he himself might not have been aware of such developments. Garima also added that when she asked Siddhartha about what happened to her husband he stated that Zubeen had a seizure inside water. She was quoted as saying:

"He usually sleeps during the day; maybe he was forcefully taken. He was also on medication – I don’t even know if he was given his medicines. He never had a heart problem… when he had the seizure, he was back in a minute. I was really shocked. There might be many things… this was not death due to scuba diving. Investigation is on, and we all want to know what exactly happened. I trust the legal system. Assam CM is taking it seriously. I am sure we will get justice very soon."
