Zahan Kapoor is being showered with love and appreciation for his performances. The actor has only appeared in two projects on the screen so far. However, it was enough for the audience to be in awe of the actor. Zahan made his debut with Hansal Mehta's Faraz and was later seen in Vikramaditya Motwane's series Black Warrant.
Zahan Kapoor is the son of actor, Kunal Kapoor and theatre artist, Sheena Sippy. The actor's dada, Shashi Kapoor, is one of the greatest stars in Bollywood history, while his nana is the legendary filmmaker, Ramesh Sippy. Despite hailing from one of the core families in Bollywood, Zahan claims that he never had to face 'nepotism' jibes like many other star kids.
During the conversation with Hindustan Times, when he was asked the reason behind that, Zahan laughed and stated that he had no idea and that it was not for him to assess it. He called himself fortunate that he got to live a relatively normal life and learnt about these things when he was an adolescent. He stated:
"I don't know. That's not for me to assess or judge. What I can say is the truth, which is that I have been very fortunate to have grown up uniquely. My parents were both creators but slightly outside the industry. My grandfather retired by the time I was born. So, I have not grown up in the industry bubble, so to speak. I was given the luxury of being able to live a really ordinary, normal life. I learnt about these things as an adolescent."
In the same conversation, Zahan Kapoor explained that by upbringing, he had meant that he went into acting. He revealed that he first joined the theatre and then moved to the films. He recalled the transition being very organic. He stated:
"The second thing is what I learned on the job. I started in production at a very young age. I started in theatre. When I started to be interested in acting, it was an organic decision. It was not due to any influence. I have had enough of a degree of separation to be allowed to make these choices for myself."
In the same conversation, Zahan Kapoor called his entry into the film industry accidental. He stated that the audience might have understood that his entry in the films was organic. He stated that while he bears the Kapoor surname, it took him a long time to make room for himself. He stated:

"It has been very accidental and incidental the kind of choices that I have made. I have not tried to manipulate any of it. It happened to be like that, through casting directors and random chance. It's been very organic, and I am grateful for that. It's not calculative at all. Maybe, if anything, that kind of honesty and energy is what everyone gets. And it's taken a lot of time. It's been a very slow burn, but I am very happy about that. It allows me to dig deep."
