Yuvraj Singh's Father Says Women Should Keep Dupattas On Head After Shocking Remark On Son's Wife

Former cricketer, Yuvraj Singh's father, Yograj Singh, is a huge name in the world of cricket, and has coached many bright talents, including his own son. However, he faced major backlash when he made a crass remark about his son, Yuvraj Singh's wife, Hazel Keech. Now, in a new interview, Yograj Singh revealed how woman should cover their head with a dupatta.

Yuvraj Singh's father, Yograj Singh, made shocking remarks about women and his own family

Recently, in an interview with Highbrow Studios, Yograj Singh revealed that he is the head of his family, and they follow his rules and regulations. Sharing the views on women, Yograj stated that a woman should not go to kitty parties and should have a dupatta on her head. And they should follow the rules and rituals the elders have taught them. He said:

"I am the head of my family — my way, my rules, my regulations. No kitty parties. A woman should have a dupatta on her head. They should follow the rituals that elders have taught."

Yograj Singh also revealed that he had warned his daughter not to do anything that would dishonour his family. He claimed that people might find him wrong, but no one can cross the line with him in his family. He even told his daughter that his tubran shouldn't get stained. Yograj was quoted as saying:

"People might find me wrong, but no one crosses the line with me in my family. I told my daughter that if my turban gets stained, then you see… I told my daughter and wife, you are the honour of my family, my turban shouldn’t get stained because of you, or else I will give my life. What’s wrong in that?"

When Yograj Singh made shocking remarks on Yuvraj Singh's wife, Hazel Keech

Yuvraj Singh got married to Bollywood actress, Hazel Keech in 2016. They had a grand wedding ceremony. However, in an interview with Krishnank Atrey, Yograj went on to say that he gave permission to his son, Yuvraj to get married in his late 30s and even asked him to change the 'breed' as he wanted an Irish or English girl in his family. He said:

"I did request him to change the breed. People hearing this might oppose it, but we wanted an Irish or English girl in the family. And then Hazel (Keech) came into our lives."

In the same conversation, Yograj further stated that his grandchildren consider him a friend. For those unaware, Yuvraj and Hazel got blessed with two children, a son, Orion and a daughter, Aura. Yograj addressed his grandchildren, Orion and Aura, as beautiful wonders of god. Yograj further claimed that Hazel is not his daughter-in-law but his daughter. 

It is worth mentioning that Yuvraj Singh's relationship with his father has been strained. He confessed that his relationship with his father was only about cricket. But he doesn't wants the same thing for his children. He wants to be their dad and not a coach. He added that he wants to do the things with his children which he couldn't do with his dad when he was a child. 

"With my father, it was always about cricket. I don't want to be a coach to my kids, and I want to be a dad. The things I could not do with my dad, I do it with my son."
