Yograj Singh sat down in a heart-to-heart conversation with Samdish Bhatia on his YouTube channel, Unfiltered by Samdish. The interview is currently making a lot of noise on social media because the ever-so-fiery Yograj Singh has once again made a series of unfiltered statements on a series of sensitive topics. For instance, Yograj Singh revealed that he abused Kapil Dev and wanted to put a bullet through his head when the latter dropped him from the team. Not only this, Yograj Singh also made similar accusations on the late cricketer, Bishan Singh Bedi
Further, in the same interview with Samdish Bhatia, Yograj Singh disclosed the reason why Sachin Tendulkar's son, Arjun Tendulkar, stopped training under him. For the uninitiated, Arjun trained under Yograj for just 12 days before his first-class debut for Goa. On his debut, he smashed a century and got an offer from the Indian Premier League's (IPL) side, Mumbai Indians. Since then, he never came back to Yograj for training. Revealing the reason behind it, Yograj Singh said:
"Sachin's son. He comes here for 12 days and scores a hundred. When he scored a hundred on debut and then returned to IPL, people feared that his (Arjun) name will stick with him (Yograj). Are you understanding my point? I told Yuvi (Yuvraj) to call Sachin and ask him to give me Arjun for a year. See what happens after that."
Threatening Kapil Dev with a gun at his house or accusing Bishan Singh Bedi and sharing his thoughts on Arjun Tendulkar's case were not the only controversial statements Yograj Singh made in his explosive interview. The former cricketer also stated that if Yuvraj Singh had died and India had won the World Cup, he would have been a proud father. Amidst all the social media debate over Yograj Singh's latest interview, he is receiving a lot of criticism for his take on women and leadership. He said:
"Wife will destroy your house if you give her power. Sorry to say, Indira Gandhi ran this country and destroyed it. Give them respect and love, but never give them power."
Talking about Yograj Singh's personal life, his first marriage was with a woman named, Shabnam, who is the daughter of a Muslim businessman. Not much information about their love story is available on the internet, but as per multiple unidentified rumours, it was an arranged marriage. Yograj and Shabnam welcomed two sons, Yuvraj and Zoravar, into their lives. Soon, the couple started facing a lot of trouble in their marriage, and they got divorced when their sons were quite young.
"It was a tough blow for Yuvraj and Zoravar to see their parents part ways."
Once, in an old interview with a publication, Yograj Singh revealed that he had given Shabnam a divorce because of her forward thinking. According to a report in Bhaskar, Yograj allegedly wanted Shabnam to become a homemaker, but she wanted to build her own identity. Fast forward to 2024, and Shabnam is a renowned philanthropist who is also the chairperson of Yuvraj Singh Foundation. Time and again, we have seen Yuvraj crediting his mother for her constant support throughout his life.

However, not everyone is aware of the fact that once, in another interview, Yograj Singh labelled his marriage with Yuvraj's mother, Shabnam, as a 'mistake'. However, he accepted that it's unfortunate that he is a patriarchal man who thinks that a woman's place is at home only. Courtesy of this approach, he and Shabnam parted ways. However, he revealed that, as of now, he has a better relationship with his ex-wife and their two sons, Yuvraj and Zoravar.
After his divorce from Shabnam, Yograj Singh fell in love with Neena Bundhel, and they got married. The couple welcomed two children, Victor Singh and Amarjot Kaur, who share a beautiful bond with Yograj's sons, Yuvraj and Zoravar, from his first marriage with Shabnam. Neena Bundhel is an actress, who reportedly took the name, 'Satbir Kaur' after her marriage with Yograj Singh. For the uninitiated, Neena has worked in many Punjabi films, including Jora Jatt, Jatt Jeona Mour, Jagga Daku, and Anakh Jattan Dee.
