Aditya Dhar’s recently released film, Dhurandhar, has broken all records since its December 5, 2025, release. Even a month after its release, the film remains unstoppable, having recently crossed Rs. 1247 crore. The film stars Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, and Sara Arjun in pivotal roles.
Not just fans, but the entire film industry is lauding the film's success. And the latest to join the bandwagon is none other than Aditya Chopra’s production house, Yash Raj Films. YRF is known to have produced spy films under the YRF Spy Universe, including Ek Tha Tiger, War, Pathaan, and War 2.

Yash Raj Films’ official social media handle released a post appreciating Aditya Dhar and the entire cast of Dhurandhar. Their note can be read as:
“Dhurandhar is not a film... it's a milestone moment in Indian cinema that will be remembered forever. Congratulations to Aditya Dhar and Jio Studios for becoming the highest grossing Indian film of all time (In a Single language). As the captain of the ship, Aditya Dhar's clarity of purpose, fearless storytelling and unwavering commitment to excellence have set a new benchmark for Indian cinema. We also congratulate every cast member and technician of this brilliant film for giving their all. Thank you for giving us cinema that inspires us to strive forward in the pursuit of creative excellence.”

As soon as the post was shared by YRF, netizens reacted to it. One of the users wrote, “That's a healthy competition spirit!!.” Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh, who was launched by YRF in 2010, also posted a heartwarming comment, which can be read as, “My beloved Alma Mater only ever wanted to make you proud.”

After Dhurandhar garnered applause for its gripping narrative, strong performances and realistic portrayal of a spy's life, many compared it to YRF’s Spyverse. Social media users took a dig at YRF for glamorising the lives of spies while being detached from reality. Many heaped praises on Dhurandar’s makers for showing the reality of a spy, and took a dig at YRF for making RAW and ISI to a matchmaking joke.

Dhurandhar, released on December 5, 2025, broke Hindi cinema records and emerged as one of the year's biggest movies, crossing the Rs. 800 crore mark. The spy thriller outperformed mega-hits like Chhaava and Stree 2, and even surpassed the Hindi versions of KGF 2, Baahubali 2, and many more. The sequel is scheduled for release in March this year.

Dhurandhar is a spy thriller revolving around the elusive protagonist, 'Hamza', and his dangerous mission in Karachi, Pakistan. Played by Ranveer Singh, 'Hamza' has been sent by the India intelligence to dismantle terror units in the neighbouring nation. This leads to the beginning of 'Operation Dhurandhar'.
