'DWTS': Witney Carson Shares Handwritten Note From Robert Irwin Amid Chest Injury And Tough Finale

Robert Irwin and Witney Carson have formed a friendship far beyond being just dance partners. The dancing pro, Witney, joined Dancing with the Stars in 2014, and shared a handwritten note that the wildlife conservationist wrote her ahead of the November 25, 2025, finale. The note comes after Robert injured himself right before the big showdown.

Hours before the big finale, Witney Carson took to her Instagram account and shared a note that made the internet collectively melt. The Dancing with the Stars pro dancer shared a handwritten note she received from Robert Irwin. The heartfelt note acknowledged Witney's hard work. What made the gesture even more sentimental was that it came hours after Robert's injury made headlines.

In a handwritten note, Robert Irwin shared that he admires Witney Carson's courage and her ability to balance her career and motherhood with such flawlessness. He further commended her determination and kindness even under huge pressure. The note could be read as:

"I admire your courage as you balance a truly impressive workload while being a fantastic mum, and your determination and kindness even under huge pressure is inspiring. You have taught me lessons that I'll take with me for the rest of my life. I feel blessed to know the Carson / Mc Allister's."

The 21-year-old DWTS dancer, Robert Irwin, recognized that while they would no longer be working together, they would be in each other's lives forever. He concluded the text with a reminder for Witney Carson. Witney shared her appreciation for the letter and bouquet of roses Robert sent her, writing in the Story post, "In case you need another reason to love Robert Irwin." The note read:

"While it is coming to an end, you've got me in your corner forever. We Irwins tend to stick around! Sorry, bud, I'm hard to get rid of. Always remember, when in doubt—send it.”

Emotions were certainly running high, with Witney Carson and Robert Irwin. The latter also posted an emotional video about their journey coming to an end. Witney returned the sentiment, chiming in, "Thank you for everything. This has been so special, so memorable." The pair soaked up their last moments together before taking the stage for the last time. In the video, Robert could be heard saying:

"Witney, this is it. I'm not ready for it to be over. I can't believe this is it. Thank you so much for the greatest experience of my whole life; it has been amazing."

Robert Irwin's dance partner, Witney Carson, revealed on TikTok that the 21-year-old finalist had been dealing with a painful rib injury days leading up to the finale night. She shared an emotional clip to narrate the behind-the-scenes look at their demanding rehearsal schedule and the physical toll of the intense competition. Explaining the situation, Witney explained that this was what 11 weeks of "crazy, vigorous, hard dancing looks like." She added that Robert's body is feeling it, and they were just trying to hold it together.

Witney Carson explained that Robert Irwin has been pushing through the rehearsal despite feeling intense discomfort. She highlighted that he is even practicing through 'gritted teeth' and she had to adjust some of the choreography to protect his injury, especially some lifts and group interactions. However, Witney left fans concerned after clarifying that she would reveal more about the injury's context during the live finale.
