Within a week, Hollywood has witnessed multiple sudden health scares among celebrities, and the latest person to join the list is Liev Schreiber. The critically acclaimed actor, star of Ray Donovan , admired for his commanding screen presence, is now making headlines for his health. Liev has allegedly suffered a medical emergency, leading to his sudden hospitalisation in New York City.

Why is Liev Schreiber hospitalised?

According to a new report by TMZ, the 58-year-old actor experienced a massive and unexplained headache on November 17, 2025. Due to the highest intensity of the pain, he immediately contacted his doctor. Sources further shared with the outlet that his doctor asked him to visit a hospital right away due to the seriousness of his symptoms. In turn, he followed the medical advice and, without delay, spent the whole night under observation at a New York Hospital. 

Since then, doctors have performed a series of tests on him to determine the cause of his unexpected headache. However, as of now, no diagnosis has been confirmed by them. Moreover, the insiders updated that although the exact cause of Liev's health crisis remains unknown, he is able to walk, talk, and use all of his body parts, including his arms and legs, normally. It suggests that the situation may not be too concerning to cause neurological impairment. Still, fans are waiting to get a clearer update on his health.

Who is Liev Schreiber's wife, Taylor Neisen?

Amid the health scare, Liev Schreiber's blended family has once again risen to the spotlight. For those unaware, Liev has been married to model and former beauty queen, Taylor Neisen, since July 2023. They welcomed their daughter, Hazel Bee, on August 27, 2023, marking the beginning of a new chapter in their lives. Before this, Liev was in a long-term relationship with actress, Naomi Watts from 2005 to 2016. They welcomed two kids, a son, Shasha, who began his college at USC in 2025, and Kai, a transgender model who recently made her runway debut. Liev's modern and blended family often comes together to celebrate key milestones together giving an example of progressive parenting.

Liev is further collaborating with Hugh Jackman for some Off-Broadway projects in 2025.
