The multiple s*xual misconduct allegations not only harmed his career but has also made him homeless. For the unversed, in 2017, Anthony Rapp made some serious allegations against Kevin Spacey. Anthony Rapp claimed that Kevin Spacey s*xually assaulted him in 1986, when the former was a teenager. According to multiple reports, Anthony was just 14 years old when he was assaulted by Kevin, who was in his twenties back then.

Following Anthony’s claims, more than 30 men also hurled similar kinds of accusations. In 2022, Anthony Rapp lost a civil lawsuit against the Oscar winner. Things changed in 2023, when Kevin was found not guilty of committing s*xual assault against four men. However, this scandal involving several s*xual offences, took a toll on Kevin Spacey and left him homeless. In a recent interview with The Telegraph shared the after effects of the years-long scandal. He mentioned that his financial condition went downhill. He was quoted as saying:

"I’m living in hotels, I’m living in Airbnbs, I’m going where the work is. I literally have no home, that’s what I’m attempting to explain. The costs over these last seven years have been astronomical. I've had very little coming in and everything going out."

Following Anthony Rapp’s s*xual misconduct accusation, on October 30, 2017, Kevin Spacey took to his X handle (formerly Twitter) and asked for an apology. Sharing a lengthy note, Kevin wrote that he have a lot or respect and admiration for actor, Anthony Rapp. He mentioned that the incident was too old and thus he didn’t remember the encounter. An excerpt from his lengthy note can be read as:

"I have a lot of respect and admiration for Anthony Rapp as an actor. I'm beyond horrified to hear his story. I honestly do not remember the encounter, it would have been over 30 years ago. But if I did behave then as he describes, I owe him the sincerest apology for what would have been deeply inappropriate drunken behavior, and I am sorry for the feelings he describes having carried with him all these years."

Further in the tweet, Kevin highlighted that there are some other things in his life which he want to address. He shared that he had relationships with both men and women in his life. However, his confession about his s*xuality came as a shock to his fans, as he declared himself as a 'gay'. He wrote:

"This story has encouraged me to address other things about my life. I know that there are stories out there about me and that some have been fueled by the fact that I have been so protective of my privacy. As those closest to me know, in my life I have had relationships with both men and women. I have loved and had romantic encounters with men throughout my life, and I choose now to live as a gay man. I want to deal with this honestly and openly and that starts with examining my own behavior."

Earlier, in a 2017 interview with BuzzFeed News, Anthony Rapp recalled the horrifying incident that happened in 1986. Anthony alleged that Kevin first befriended him when they were working together on Broadway shows and had invited him to his home for a party. Anthony mentioned that as he was feeling bored at the party, he went to the bedroom to watch TV. But after few hours, he could sense that everybody present at the party left Kevin’s home. Anthony claimed that Kevin who was drunk at that moment picked him up and took him to his bed. He highlighted that Kevin who was in his twenties tried to s**uce him.
