Varun Badola is a well-known face when it comes to Hindi TV industry. He has been vocal about anything and everything. Coming to his personal life, Varun is married to TV actress, Rajeshwari Sachdev. On November 24, 2025, the couple will complete 21 years of togetherness. Now, in a recent interview, Varun opened up about his working experience with his wife, Rajeshwari, while they reunited for an upcoming web series, Co-Ed, after more than two decades. According to multiple reports, the duo hadn’t worked together for the past 20 years.

In a recent interview with Times Now, Varun opened up about his on-screen reunion with his wife, Rajeshwari Sachdev. He highlighted that there have been certain things that a real-life couple has to take care of before appearing on-screen. He mentioned that people may find it easy, but working with your real-life partner on a project comes with its own set of challenges. He then explained that an actor must keep himself in check, so that his real and reel life characters don’t get mixed. He was quoted as saying:

"Because one thing you have to take care of is that you should not end up portraying yourself in the characters that you observe in the show. There is a certain ease, definitely, knowing each other for so long and being a real-life couple. But in any way, it's a touch-and-go... you are still playing a character. You are not playing yourself."

Varun shared that there is always a sense of ease when a person works with their real-life partner. He explained that although a sense of ease develops when two close friends or people work together, they must bond and create a certain chemistry to play the on-screen character effectively. In his words:

"There is always a certain ease that will obviously come across. But sometimes it happens that the co-actor is a very dear friend, so that ease comes. But if the co-actor is a very good friend, then you still have to develop a certain chemistry and a relationship to play the part."

In the same interview, Varun shared his working experience with Rajeshwari Sachdev after 20 years. For the unversed, Varun and Rajeshwari met each other on the sets of Antakshari. On November 24, 2004, the couple tied the knot. Varun highlighted that when they worked together for the first time, they weren’t married, but now that they have completed 21 years of togetherness, there has been a lot of difference. He was quoted as saying:

"With all seriousness, apart from the fact that we two are getting to work together, vo toh important tha hi. But when we had worked together for the first time, we weren't married. And after 20 years of marriage, we get to do a show together. I can assure you there is a huge difference... if you look at the previous work, which was before marriage and which is now."

Earlier in a 2019 interview with TOI, Varun was asked whether he wanted to work with his wife and TV actress, Rajeshwari Sachdev. In response, Varun said that nobody offered them any TV shows or movies where they could appear as cast members. He shared that they did one show together and got married. He then quipped and said that working with Rajeshwari would be a bit awkward for him. The couple not only did the show, Antakshari, but they also appeared on the dance reality show, Nach Baliye, as a newly married couple.
