However, not many people know this, but before her engagement to Vijay Deverakonda, Rashmika Mandanna was previously engaged to Kannada actor, Rakshit Shetty. Despite being head-over-heels in love with one another, she called off her engagement within a year. Rashmika and Rakshit’s broken engagement raised a lot of eyebrows. It was reported that Rashmika started getting a lot of film offers after her debut, but Rakshit was not keen on Rashmika signing films.

"I was recovering from my breakup with Rakshit Shetty. I needed comfort and care, which I found in Deverakonda. I was struggling to cope up with my emotions, and it was he who lifted my spirits. He was the one who made me understand that there was a different world outside, waiting for me to embrace."

Discussing their alleged impending nuptials, reports indicate that the wedding date is scheduled for February 2026. A Deccan Chronicle report stated that they have several projects lined up, especially for Rashmika. Hence, the date is yet to be set.
