The Beckham family was once admired for its unity among fans, but it has now found itself in the middle of a publicised family rift. Speculation about the alleged conflict between David and Victoria Beckham and their son, Brooklyn, was widely known. But a recent development stunned fans after reports claimed that the 26-year-old had blocked his parents and siblings on Instagram, according to The Sun. The move had left his parents "heartbroken" and sparked a new wave of concern among fans about what went wrong behind the scenes. A recent news report has now revealed the reason behind Brooklyn's new move.
According to The Sun, the latest escalation in the Beckham family feud came after Victoria Beckham "liked" a video her son, Brooklyn, posted about roasting a chicken. Although it seemed a normal, affectionate gesture and an alleged olive branch from a mother trying to repair her relationship with her son, Brooklyn's bond with his family, it did not go down well with him. Some insiders told the outlet that Brooklyn saw the gesture as a public means to pressure him rather than a private reconciliation.

Consequently, within hours of his mother's social media move, he blocked his mother, Victoria, his father, David, his brother, Romeo, Cruz, and his sister, Harper, from his Instagram. Initially, fans thought that the Beckham family had unfollowed Brooklyn, but later Cruz publicly revealed on Instagram that his brother had blocked all of them. It marks the first move where a family member acknowledged the feud in public. As a result, sources cited that both David and Victoria are "devastated" by the recent development. In contrast, Brooklyn intends to sort things out privately, but his actions have done the opposite now.

Before Brooklyn blocked his family, there were clear signs for months that an internal feud was brewing inside the Beckham clan. According to The Sun and other British media outlets, Brooklyn has allegedly "nothing to do" with his family for months now. He earlier missed his father, David Beckham's 50th birthday celebration in May 2025 and his knighthood ceremony at Windsor Castle in November 2025. However, the rest of his family continued to participate in the celebrations. Brooklyn and his wife, Nicola, have reportedly not been pictured with his family together since 2024, and neither did the 26-year-old's family attend his vow renewal ceremony in August 2025. Insiders claimed that Romeo and Cruz are "furious" over their brother, Brooklyn's actions.

According to multiple sources, the Beckham family conflict dates back to Brooklyn's 2022 wedding to Nicola Peltz in Brooklyn. According to Page Six and The Sun, the rift reportedly began when Nicola chose a Valentino wedding dress instead of one designed by Victoria Beckham. Nicole later stated that Victoria's team was unable to complete the gown in time. Later, when Victoria danced with her son instead of his new bride, the gap widened. Moreover, the sources claimed that David and Victoria feel Nicola distanced their son from them, while Brooklyn allegedly wanted more freedom from his family. At the same time, their different approach to finances further seemed to have intensified the situation.
