In a tragic turn of events, Hollywood icon, Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, were found dead in their LA home. According to recent reports, two people were found dead on the afternoon of December 14, 2025, (ET) inside a Brentwood home. Later, it was confirmed that the two deceased were Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner.

Who was Rob Reiner’s wife, Michele Singer Reiner?

Rob was one of the most iconic actors and filmmakers. He was acclaimed for films like This Is Spinal Tap, The Sure Thing, Stand by Me, The Princess Bride, When Harry Met Sally, Misery, A Few Good Men, The American President, and many more. He was married to actress, Penny Marshall in 1971, and after a decade, the two parted ways.

Rob then met Michele Singer and got married to her in 1989. The couple had three children, sons Jake and Nick, and daughter Romy. Talking about Michele, she was a popular photographer who famously captured Donald Trump for the cover of his book, Trump: The Art of the Deal.

Apart from photography, Michele has also acted in the 1994 film, Mixed Nuts, which starred Steve Martin. Michele worked in the movie, Misery as a photographer. She served as the producer of the film Shock and Awe and the HBO documentary, Albert Brooks: Defending My Life.

Michele Singer had a huge impact on Rob Reiner from the beginning. It was only after he met and fell in love with her that he decided to change the ending of his classic film, When Harry Met Sally. In an interview with CNN, Rob spoke about the same and shared:

“I’d been married for ten years. I’d been single for ten years, and I couldn’t figure out how I was ever going to be with anybody. That gave birth to When Harry Met Sally. I hadn’t met anybody, so it was going to be the two of them seeing each other after years, talking, and then walking away from each other. The original ending of the film that we had was that Harry and Sally didn’t get together.”

The initial reports in TMZ claimed that two dead bodies were found in Rob and Michele's Brentwood home on December 14, 2025. Initially, the identities of the deceased couldn’t be verified. However, later TMZ confirmed that it was Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner who were killed at their home. The news sent shock waves across, and investigations began. Soon, it was reported that Rob and Michele died of stabbing and that the duo was found with 'lacerations consistent with a knife'.

Rob Reiner’s son involved in his and Michele Reiner's death?

Moments after the deceased bodies were identified as Rob Reiner and Michele Singer, another shocking news surfaced. A report by PEOPLE shared that it was none other than Rob and Michele's son, Nick, who killed his parents. However, there has been no official confirmation till now. It is said that Nick Reiner has been questioned, but no arrests have been made yet.

Rob and Michele’s son, Nick, has been struggling with drug addiction. In an interview with People, Nick has revealed struggling with substance abuse from his early teens. Nick was also admitted to rehab multiple times, and he experienced a sense of homelessness.
