Nancy Guthrie's missing case has been intensifying. For the unversed, the Today show's host, Savannah's mom, Nancy, who is 84 years old, was abducted from her home after she was last seen on January 31, 2026. A search mission is on, and it was on February 11, 2026, when a photo of a masked-up man was released by the FBI. Recently, the FBI released new identifying details like the height of the suspect, which again turned the attention to Nancy's son-in-law, Tommaso. Tommaso has been grabbing the attention, being the last person to see Nancy, as he drove her home. Now, amid people wondering if Tommaso is a 'suspect' in the mystifying case, a new theory left people baffled.
Recently, Bethenny Frankel, the Real Housewives of New York City star, shared a baffling new theory, wherein she stated that while not confirmed, it is very much possible that Nancy Guthrie was abducted by a journalist. The reason she shared such a theory was the clues she had, although she said she had several missing pieces in this case, which led her to ask her followers for help.

Well, the investigators revealed that the abductor who sent the ransom notes was much, much skilled in articulation and had a good knowledge of the locality, along with a good connection with the local stations, which led that person to share the ransom notes right there.

As per Bethenny's theory, Savannah worked in a TV station in Arizona for several years, so this abduction can very much be out of revenge, an assumption which was previously made by several former FBI agents. While this possibility has never been confirmed, it was said that Nancy's abduction could possibly be caused by someone's revenge, which could also have a connection to Savannah's glamorous career and her international dominance with her professional front. Bethenny said that Nancy's abduction could be done by a competitive journalist, who lost to Savannah and the latter got the gig and made it big. No such assumption has been confirmed, and it's just a theory by the Skinnygirl founder. She questioned:
"So is it some competitive journalist that Savannah won, got the gig, broke out, and made all the big bucks, and that person has resentment and wants to get their payday that they deserve? I have not heard anything like that, and why does that type of thing sound logical to me?"

Nancy Guthrie rode her car, and it was Tommaso Cioni who drove her home on January 31, 2026, following which she has been missing. Tommaso was the last one to see her, and also the one who received a ransom note demanding millions. Amid the investigation, a journalist, Ashleigh Banfield, claimed that Tommaso may be a person of interest in the case.

Such a claim instantly became a wild topic of discussion, with people wondering if Tommaso is behind the kidnapping, which intensified after an investigation was conducted at his home, which is at a 10-minute distance from Nancy's home. Well, the officials have said that there's no prime suspect as of now, and it can very much be possible that Nancy's son-in-law was simply investigated for details.
