Zach Bryan rang in the New Year with a new chapter. The country music singer tied the knot with his girlfriend, Samantha Leonard, in a secret wedding ceremony in Spain, sending fans into a frenzy. A video clip circulating online shows the 29-year-old country star wearing a tuxedo as he carries his bride, 28, in a decorated convertible with a "Just Married" banner.

As soon as glimpses of the secret wedding surfaced online, they reignited fans' interest in the Grammy winner's whirlwind dating past, including his short-lived marriage to his first (now ex) wife, Rose Madden, which lasted just over a year.

Zach Bryan and Samantha Leonard exchanged vows during the holiday week in San Sebastián, Spain; on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, the singer shared the first official look from the wedding on his Instagram. In the photo, Bryan and his bride looked the happiest in her strapless white gown featuring a feather-trimmed hem, while he had donned a black tee. The singer captioned the post, "Tougher than the rest", a nod to Bruce Springsteen’s love song from Tunnel of Love.

In another photo shared on his Instagram Stories, perhaps taken after the wedding ceremony, Zach held Samantha in his arms as he rushed through the cobblestoned streets in Spain. Zach can be seen in his groom's attire, complete with a black tux, a white shirt, and a bow-tie, while his bride looked ravishing in a white wedding gown with lace detailing on the neck and arms, complete with a white headdress.

Who is Samantha Leonard?

While Zach Bryan is one of country music's biggest stars at the moment, his now-wife, Samantha, largely stayed out of the spotlight. The two were first linked in July 2025 after she posted photos with the singer attending Spain's famous event, Running of the Bulls. 

Samantha's LinkedIn profile states that she earned a bachelor’s degree from New York University and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in interior architecture at UCLA. She reportedly splits her time between Newport Beach and New York City. On Instagram, she shares lifestyle content and highlights volunteer work with women’s organisations.

Shortly after their dating news stirred buzz, engagement rumours picked up toward the end of 2025 after Samantha was spotted wearing a diamond ring on her more recent social media posts. While they never addressed the speculations, Zach hard-launched their romance on social media in October 2025, affectionately referring to her as "Samantha Marie" as he openly declared:

Rose, who reportedly served in the U.S. Navy alongside Zach, reflected on their connection and her role as his early muse in the first episode of Bryan’s series, The Belting Bronco. She said:

“It’s something else when you love somebody and you’re singing a song about them, and then when they’re singing it with you. It’s unbelievable."

However, the marriage did not last long. Within a year, it fell apart, and by July 2021, the couple had quietly parted ways. Rose herself had confirmed the separation in a TikTok video. Fans have long speculated that Bryan’s early albums, especially those with raw emotional tones like DeAnn and Elisabeth, were influenced by that chapter of his life. She has since moved on with her current boyfriend, Sebastian.

After his divorce from Rose, Zach Bryan briefly dated Deb Peifer, a social media manager and influencer, before entering a highly publicised relationship with popular podcaster Brianna LaPaglia, better known by the masses as Brianna "Chickenfry". 

Zack and Brianna first met in May 2023 at the Academy of Country Music Awards when both had been in separate relationships. Before they knew it, what began with a selfie request from Brianna at the award show eventually turned into a romantic bond. A month later, the podcaster was seen joining Bryan on the stage in his NYC concert.

The relationship ended in 2024 after a public fallout, when LaPaglia accused Bryan of emotional abuse and claimed that the singer had offered her money to stay silent. Zach never publicly addressed these claims, but later admitted that he was not perfect and had failed those who loved him.
