Indian cricketer Washington Sundar is currently grabbing the limelight as there have been rumours about the cricketer dating the gorgeous actress, Sahiba Bali. The speculations began when a video of the duo having coffee at a café went viral. As soon as the video went viral on social media, many users tagged Sahiba as Washington Sundar’s girlfriend. Well, just like the all-rounder cricketer, Sahiba is a multi-hyphenate talent in the industry.

Born on 5 December 1994 into a Kashmiri family, Sahiba is one of the most talented actresses in the industry, who has been multitasking in various roles. She graduated in Economics from Delhi University and later went to London to pursue a course in marketing, and also took a business course at Oxford.
She then worked as a marketing associate at Zomato and pitched ideas to improve the brand’s visibility. She then became the brand manager. Talking about the same in an interaction with Hindustan Times, she said:
“I’ve worked as a brand manager at Zomato for around two-and-a-half years and I love my job. My job is to ensure that the brand is visible – whether it’s on the delivery guy’s T-shirt, in a digital ad film, social media platforms, etc.”

It was while doing her Master's in marketing that Imtiaz Ali called Sahiba for an audition for his 2018 film, Laila Majnu. She initially auditioned for Triptii Dimri’s role but ended up playing her sister. However, her parents opposed her decision to act, as they were worried about her education. Talking about the same, Sahiba once shared:
“To me, it seemed like a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. My parents were initially against my decision, because I was in the UK and pursuing a Master’s degree. Their fear was that I would drop out. I had to assure them that come what may, I will get a distinction and top my class – which I eventually did.”

Sahiba balanced her studies and acting by travelling back and forth from London to Kashmir. It gave her the confidence to manage both roles. Once she finished her course, Sahiba returned to India and went to Mumbai to pursue her dream of becoming an actress. She began working as a marketing consultant with a firm, and on her days off and weekends, she would audition for movie roles.
Sahiba auditioned for Kiara Advani’s role in Kabir Singh, as well as Anushka Sharma’s role in Sultan, opposite Salman Khan. After her role in Laila Majnu, Sahiba became a popular face. She played Kashmiri student 'Ambreen' in Laila Majnu (2018), an Inter-Services agent 'Abida' in the Netflix series, Bard of Blood (2019), and an exacting journalist in Amar Singh Chamkila.
It was her manager at Zomato who suggested she try starring in a few videos for Zomato as she was creating content for the brand’s YouTube channel. Her vlogs became popular on social media. Bali has also starred in videos for Dice Media’s FilterCopy. She has a social media presence and collaborates with multiple brands to create content.

Sahiba has tried her hand at everything. Apart from being an actress, content creator, Zomato's brand manager, and Unacademy's associate director, Sahiba is also a sports presenter. Her popularity surged when she joined the Indian Premier League broadcast team in 2024. Soon, Sahiba became one of the prominent faces of every match. She later contributed as a digital insider and anchor for cricket-related content during the Champions Trophy 2025. She also hosted season 4 of Shark Tank India.
