Who Is 'The Boys' S5 Star, Jensen Ackles' Wife? All About Danneel Ackles, Actress And Mom Of Three

Jensen Ackles is a well-known American actor and musician. His career began at the young age of 4, when he started modelling. He put his focus on his acting career in 1996. At the time, he appeared in several guest roles on Cybill, Sweet Valley High, Mr. Rhodes and more before he landed the role of ‘Eric Brady' in the soap opera, Days of Our Lives.  

Jensen gained widespread recognition after he appeared in the drama series, Supernatural. He played the role of ‘Dean Winchester' from 2005 to 2020. Most recently, he appeared on Tracker Season 3. The series is currently airing on CBS and streaming on Paramount+. Additionally, Jensen is also set to appear in The Boys Season 5. Amid this, many have become curious about Jensen's wife, Danneel Ackles.  

Danneel Ackles is an actress 

Danneel Ackles got her breakthrough after she landed the recurring role of 'Shannon McBain' on One Life to Live. Reportedly, she played the role from 1999 to 2004. She came to prominence when she starred as 'Rachel' in One Tree Hill from 2005 to 2009. Since then, Danneel has appeared in a number of hit projects, including Supernatural, How I Met Your Mother, Friends with Benefits, and Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay.  

In September 2024, when it was revealed that a reboot of One Tree Hill was on the way, Danneel was confirmed as a producer on the new series. Next year, in June 2025, when her husband, Jensen, was questioned by Entertainment Tonight about whether there was a chance he would be on the reboot, he said there were no such plans at the moment before adding that he has a feeling that he won't get away so easily.  

Danneel Ackles and Jensen Ackles were already married when they appeared together on Supernatural  

Many might be aware that Danneel and Jensen have both appeared on the hit series, Supernatural. According to reports, they were already married when they starred together on the series, unlike their Supernatural co-stars-turned-spouses, Jared and Genevieve Padalecki. However, did you know that Supernatural wasn't the first time that the couple shared the screen? For those unaware, Danneel and Jensen had co-starred in the 2007 film, Ten Inch Hero.   

If the reports are true, Jensen and Danneel were friends before their relationship took a romantic turn after filming the rom-com. Before they started dating, during a 2006 interview with People, Jensen had revealed that his ideal partner would be someone with a sense of humour. He said, “It may sound cheesy, but someone who can be your best friend as well as your lover.” After becoming a couple in late 2006, Jensen and Danneel tied the knot in 2010.  

Danneel Ackles shares three children with Jensen Ackles  

Danneel and Jensen welcomed their first daughter, Justice Jay, on May 30, 2013. Revealing that they are planning to call her JJ, Danneel wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “We are happy to announce the birth of our precious baby girl. She was born happy and healthy.” On December 2, 2016, the couple were blessed with twins, Zeppelin Bram and Arrow Rhodes. While appearing on Live with Kelly and Ryan, Jensen shared that Zeppelin's name was inspired by the baby's birth. He recounted that when the doctor pulled Zeppelin out, his umbilical cord was tied into a knot.

He said that while it could be very dangerous, “luckily it was a very loose knot and nothing was happening, he was totally fine.” He revealed that when it came to choosing a name, Jensen went to a website about sailors' knots. That's where he found the Zeppelin bend, mostly used to tether blimps to the ground. Now, with the kids growing up, Danneel and Jensen have often posted them on their social media.  

Danneel Ackles and Jensen Ackles are residents of Austin  

For those unaware, Danneel is from Louisiana, while Jensen is from Dallas. Because they are both southerners by birth, the couple wanted to live in a place that felt familiar and captured their “young, bold, and irreverent” vibe. Architect, Paul Lamb said the same while speaking to Architectural Digest. Danneel and Jensen had enlisted his help as well as that of interior designer, Fern Santini, as the couple wanted a home which Danneel described as “more is more” featuring bold colours and textures.  

Danneel Ackles and Jensen Ackles launched a production company together  

Danneel and Jensen are co-owners of a brewery called Family Business Beer Co., a brewery located outside of Austin. The couple also launched their own production company, Chaos Machine Productions, in 2020. Notably, Danneel and Jensen have also worked together as co-executive producers, with their first project being The Winchesters. For those unaware, it is the prequel to Supernatural. The show only ran for one season before it was cancelled in May 2023.  

Danneel Ackles is involved in charities and activism  

A quick look at Danneel's social media, like her Instagram, where she boasts 1 million followers, shows that she often uses her platform to raise awareness of different causes, whether close to home or affecting people around the world. For instance, in early 2021, after the extreme weather hit Texas, Danneel posted several resources with her followers on how to donate to relief funds. In the same year, during a Pride celebration, Danneel posted a snap where she could be seen posing with her kids in Pride shirts under a rainbow banner. The actress captioned the post: 

"Our family is celebrating the values we hold true all year. Inclusion, Diversity, and Love. We strive to always give acceptance to those around us.”
