From 2017 to 2022, Grant Show starred in the reboot of Dynasty as the wealthy patriarch 'Blake Carrington', and received critical acclaim for the same. He didn't restrict himself to just acting; he also directed two episodes of the series. His extensive television career includes main and recurring roles in Devious Maids (2013–2016), Six Feet Under (2002), Swingtown (2008), Big Love (2011), Private Practice (2008–2011) and The Family (2016).
Katherine LaNasa and Grant Show met while working on the HBO series, Big Love, in 2006, but their romance did not blossom at that time, as both were involved with their respective partners. Grant recalled the period and shared in an interview with Redbook that while he was attracted to her, she had just suffered a personal loss, so he kept his distance. About eight months later, the two reconnected in Vancouver, where they were both working on different projects. For a time, they remained platonic friends, spending time together and going bowling.
After returning to Los Angeles, Grant asked Katherine out on a proper date, and their romance officially began. In a 2017 interview with The Sydney Morning Herald, he shared that he took her on a trip to Cambodia for their third date. They then embarked on a whirlwind romance, announcing their engagement in July 2012, just over a year after they began dating. Just one month later, on August 18, 2012, they were married in a rustic ceremony in Topanga, California.
The couple told PEOPLE at the time, 'We're so happy we found each other.' Now they are parents of a daughter, Eloise, who was born in 2012. Katherine and Grant emphasised their strong friendship as the core of their relationship. Last month, in August 2025, she celebrated their 13th wedding anniversary with a loving Instagram post. Grant also leaves no chance to praise his wife. He once told Redbook that he has a 'great life' with her and finds himself free and safe in her presence. His exact words were:
"We really have a great life; we say it all the time. I've gotten bigger and freer because of Katherine. I see the openness that she has, and think, you know what? I guess it is safe over there."
