He holds a degree in Economics from the School of Economics and Business Administration in Geneva, Switzerland. From February 2001 to December 2005, Frederic worked as the team lead manager at Nestlé. Meanwhile, in May 2005, he began working as the International Operations Manager at Nestlé Nespresso SA and continued working till December 2009. He has been a Swiss independent businessman since January 2010.

Shania and Frederic first crossed paths in Switzerland back in the '90s. At the time, the duo was married to different partners. Back then, Shania and her then-husband, Robert John Lange, hired Frederic’s wife, Marie-Anne, to assist their family and help take care of their household. After finding out that Robert had cheated on her with Marie, she parted ways with him. The split brought Shania and Frederic together.
