Mardaani 3 is reportedly inspired by true events and deals with the case of 93 young missing girls. 'Amma' is the mastermind behind it, creating an aura of fear with her on-screen presence. One of the scenes in the film features ‘Amma’ breaking into an eerie dance while controlling the girls she abducted. It was DC’s iconic villain, 'Joker', who was the inspiration behind the scene. Speaking about the same, she said:

“There was a little bit of that. It's also something that I drew from my mother. So, it was very important for me to make Amma someone who was human. I couldn’t do something pure villainy.”
