Kim Hartman is a veteran British actor, like her late husband. She is best known for playing 'Helga Geerhart' in the classic sitcom, Allo Allo. Although that role made her a household name, she has crossed multiple mediums including TV, theatre, and radio. Some of Kim's most memorable shows include Grange Hill, Casualty and Doctors.

After working in front of the camera, she later stepped into direction and production. The new role gave her an opportunity to showcase her versatility. Along with her professional success, Kim shared a strong personal and professional relationship with her husband. She and John tied the knot in 1975 and stayed married until he died in 2026, setting a rare example in the entertainment world.

John and Kim co-founded production company Quinton Arts. They started the venture to work together on various theatre projects. According to a report, they shared a respectful partnership and a shared approach to storytelling. But despite their individual fame, the actors led private lives. John Nolan had been living a low-key life away from the spotlight for some time now. The news about his death was initially shared by a local outlet, Stratford-Upon-Avon Herald. Although the exact cause of his death has not been shared with the public, he died peacefully at 87. Sharing his views on John, his wife said:
"He was also the kindest person I ever knew – and animals loved him too! John was a popular and talented teacher, whether explaining a Shakespeare soliloquy or how to swing a golf club, and was devoted to his family."

John Nolan was an admired actor who thrived across different media of his time, including theatre, film, and TV. He made his TV debut in the ITV Playhouse episode, Lucky for Some and worked in miniseries and films. Soon, he ventured into theatre productions. John had worked with The Royal Shakespeare Company and The National Theatre before finding blockbuster Success in the latter part of his career. He even collaborated with his nephews, Christopher and Jonathan. The veteran actor was last seen playing the role of the Speaker of the Hall in the popular TV series, Dune: Prophecy.
