After attending the Musician’s Institute for Recording in L.A., he graduated from Berklee College of Music for Film Scoring & Orchestration. He is a music composer and has composed songs for several films and TV shows.

He has composed music for the animated DC Comics series Harley Quinn, Prime Video's anthology Modern Love, the feature film, Acidman, and HBO's docuseries, On Tour with Asperger's Are Us. He also worked on music for the Snap show, The Dead Girls Detective Agency.

Christopher French was the lead singer of a rock band

Before becoming a music composer, Christopher toured with alternative rock bands. In 2009, Christopher founded the rock band, Annie Automatic, in which he was the lead singer. Christopher met Ashley while he was part of the rock band, and the two later collaborated on the single "You're Always Here." In 2016, Christopher and Ashley showcased their musical chemistry with duets on YouTube.

Before falling in love with Ashley, Christopher was linked to The Big Bang Theory actress, Kaley Cuoco. The duo fell in love and dated for a year before parting ways in 2012. During their relationship, Christopher recorded a duet with Kaley for his band. The couple was even seen together at the People’s Choice Awards and a Golden Globes after-party.

After a year of being engaged, Ashley and Christopher got married on September 8, 2014, at the Villa Sevillano in Santa Barbara, California, in a bohemian-style outdoor wedding.

In an interview with CBS News, Ashley spoke about her marriage to Christopher and revealed that taking the big step in the relationship never felt like a big deal for her, as she had already married her best friend. Speaking about the same, she said:

“It felt like I was married before or something — I guess because we act that way. It definitely feels amazing. This relationship was definitely different from any other relationship I ever had. Nothing is forced. It's the best feeling ever."

In 2021, Ashley and Christopher became parents when they welcomed their first daughter, Jupiter Iris. In 2024, the duo completed their family with the arrival of their second daughter, Emerson Clover.
