Who Is Ashlee Monroe? Gabrielle Alayah's Mom, Potential Cause Of Kai Cenat's Breakup With 'Gigi'

With only a few days left for 2025 to end, popular YouTuber and Twitch streamer, Kai Cenat's separation from his girlfriend has taken the internet by storm. For those unaware, Kai was in a relationship with influencer and content creator, Gabrielle "Gigi" Alayah since late last year. Now, almost a year later, Kai left his fans shocked when he took to his X (formerly Twitter) handle to quietly confirm that he is single and "will never be in another relationship again."  

The news, which spread like wildfire, sparked speculation, with many wondering whether Gabrielle cheated on the streamer. Some posts even claimed that she was romantically involved with rapper, NBA YoungBoy. Additionally, internet sleuths quickly noticed that Kai and Gabrielle's breakup came only a month after Ashlee Monroe, Gabrielle’s mother, alleged that Kai was causing problems between her and her daughter. Kai Cenat is one of the most well-known streamers out there. Over the years, he has amassed a huge fan following across YouTube, Instagram, and other social media platforms. However, it is on the streaming platform, Twitch, that he has amassed over 20 million followers. As of 2025, he stands as the number one streamer in the world, with Ibai, Ninja, Auronolay, and Rubius following him closely. This is why, when, in November 2025, his then-girlfriend, Gabrielle's mother, accused him of creating problems between her and her daughter, many fans became curious about who she is and why she made such accusations.  

There is very little information about Gabrielle's mother, Ashlee Monroe, since it appears she prefers to keep her personal life private. However, she does have a public Instagram account that boasts almost a million followers. A quick glance at her IG bio reveals that she is the CEO of a shop called Klosetuni. Last month, several outlets, including Fear Buck, obtained a video showing an emotional Ashlee accusing Kai Cenat.  

According to her, he is the sole reason that her daughter, Gigi Alayah, had changed. Apparently, Gigi had changed so much that she could no longer recognise her. She further criticised the streamer's content, claiming that all he does is sit down with “women,” “rappers,” and other celebrities. Despite this, he never thought of having an actual conversation with her. To quote her exact words: 

“I don't recognise her. Kai Cenat…All you do is sit down with women of different reputations...all you do is sit down with rappers of different reputations. You never thought to sit down over a glass of water with me?” 

Did Ashlee Monroe address her daughter's split with Kai Cenat? 

Now that Kai Cenat and Gabrielle Alayah are no longer together, many social media users are wondering what her thoughts are on the matter. However, as of the time of writing this article, Ashlee Monroe has still kept her silence and has not issued any direct response to her daughter's breakup with Kai. It is worth mentioning that Kai was the first to post about the unfortunate news on social media. On December 28, 2025, the YouTube star took to his X (formerly Twitter) to share that he won't be linked to anyone romantically ever again.  

With many of his fans attacking Gabrielle and claiming that she cheated on the streamer, she did not take their comments lying down. Gabrielle quickly took to her Instagram Stories on the very same day and addressed the same. Her post can be read as: 

“I left, now you wanna get on the internet and rush to paint a false narrative about me off a FAKE twitter post is insane. I've never cheated on him, and YOU know that. I have never dealt with that man…play that sympathetic role somewhere else, pls.”

Ashlee Monroe's allegations against Kai Cenat and more explained  

It all started when Gabrielle posted a video in November 2025, which ended up going viral. In the video, she advised people to develop an emotional connection with their children. This would help them open up more to their parents in certain situations. She further talked about how, as a child, she did not lack any material things and that both her parents showed her only the best lifestyle. However, despite having everything, Gabrielle noted that she was missing the “feeling of true love,” something which would allow her to speak to her close ones about how she felt. 

As per a report by Hot New Hip Hop, later that month, Ashlee responded to her daughter's claims in a new video. She revealed that she felt hurt and broken after listening to Gabrielle's words. Additionally, she mentioned that she has never been absent from Gabrielle's life and has reassured her of this. In the clip, she also recalled a conversation between her and her daughter and said: 

"Gabrielle looked at me and said, 'I think we need to keep our relationship off the internet...' Then she follows up with, 'Kai said...' Oh yeah, Mr Kai Cenat told my daughter that he did his research on me...and if she hung out with me, her reputation would be ruined." 

After the video surfaced, Gabrielle Alayah shared several statements on her Instagram Stories. She dismissed her mother's allegations by claiming that Ashlee was going through a mental breakdown. Furthermore, she said that her mother should never have brought up Kai Cenat's name in the first place and that no one has control over her life.  

In the same post, she wrote that Ashlee has said “hurtful things to me forever” and just when she thought that she had escaped from her, Ashlee still finds a way to affect her. Although Kai and Gabrielle were still dating at the time, he never stepped into the matter, nor did he issue any response from his side.
