Bollywood actor, Emraan Hashmi managed to carve his own niche in the Hindi film industry and earned the title ‘serial killer’ due to his on-screen bold roles and steamy scenes. The actor, who is well-known for his romantic movies, has time and again left us stunned with his intimate onscreen scenes with many actresses. However, not many know that Emraan once romanced an actress on-screen, who later went on to become his sister-in-law.
Emraan Hashmi created a stir after he appeared in Anurag Basu’s film, Murder alongside Mallika Sherawat. However, it was not his first film, as Emraan was also seen in another movie, Paap, right before that, which marked Pooja Bhatt’s directorial debut. The movie also featured actor, John Abraham and actress, Udita Goswami, who left everyone mesmerised by her beauty in her debut film. Soon, Emraan and Udita came together for the hit film, Zeher: A Love Story.

The film, Zeher: A Love Story raised many eyebrows as it showed quite a few steamy scenes between Emraan Hashmi and Udita Goswami. Moreover, the songs like Woh Lamhe and Agar Tum Mil Jao, are still regarded as one of the most romantic songs of all time. For the unversed, the movie marked the directorial debut of Emraan Hashmi's cousin, Mohit Suri. Reportedly, while Udita romanced Emraan on-screen, she became quite close to the director off-screen.
If reports are to be believed, Udita Goswami and Mohit Suri tied the nuptial knot on January 29, 2013, after enjoying a courtship for almost 8 years. Fast forward to today, the couple is blessed with two children. However, Udita once again came together with Emraan Hashmi for the movie, Aksar, which had an underwhelming performance at the box office. But the song, Jhalak Dikhla Jaa, became a party number, and Indian gatherings are incomplete without it.

You would be surprised to know that Emraan Hashmi and Alia Bhatt are cousins. It happens to be that Emraan's paternal grandmother, Meherbano Mohammad Ali aka Purnima Das Verma, was a renowned Indian actress who tied the knot with Syed Shauqat Hashmi. However, after their broken marriage, she went on to marry producer-director, Bhagwan Das Verma. Mehenbano was the sister of Shirin Mohammad Ali, who was the mother of producer, Mahesh Bhatt. Going by this relation, Emraan is the nephew of Mahesh Bhatt and a cousin to Alia Bhatt.

Even though Emraan Hashmi has been keeping his personal life under wraps, his fans often dig out information about his private life. It is well known that the actor generally doesn’t talk about his wife, Parveen Shahani or son, Ayaan, with the media, but during his appearance on Karan Johar's chat show, Koffee With Karan, the actor opened up about his wife’s reaction towards his intimate scenes in his films. Revealing how his wife reacted to his steamy scenes in Murder, Emraan recalled:
“In the first seat my wife is digging her nails into my hand like ‘what the hell have you done and you haven’t prepared me for this and what are you doing because this is not Bollywood’. When the hands came off, there were four jabs… I was injured…I was bleeding.”
For the unversed, Udita Goswami was last seen in the movie, Diary of a Butterfly, which was released in 2012.
