In the show, Ronaldo himself had addressed the question, saying that he was ‘1000% sure’ they would marry one day, but he was waiting for that special ‘click’ in their relationship. He said:

“I always tell her: ‘When we get that click.’ Like everything with our life, and she knows what I'm talking about. It could be in a year, or it could be in six months, or it could be in a month.”

As you might imagine, Ronaldo’s wait for that ‘click’ even after years of living together and raising their kids sparked mixed reactions. Fans took this as a sign that the marriage wasn’t happening anytime soon. But with the engagement now official, it seems the click has finally happened.

When and where may the wedding happen?

A former Real Madrid legend, Cristiano Ronaldo, is currently playing for Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr until at least 2027. And now, with the viral engagement announcement, fans are left wondering where or when the wedding might finally happen. Given Ronaldo’s current commitments, many believe the ceremony could take place in Riyadh or Dubai, both high-profile destinations close to his current base.

However, given his sentiments associated with their roots, Madrid, being the place where he and Georgina first met in 2016, the wedding could also take place there. This was also the place where Georgina was born. Another deeply meaningful location to mark the star footballer’s next chapter could be Madeira, Portugal, Ronaldo’s homeland. 

As for their potential wedding date, popular guesses are that Ronaldo and Georgina could either marry in 2026, after Ronaldo’s season at Al Nassr ends.

Since then, the couple has built a close-knit family, raising five children together. In 2022, they faced heartbreak with the loss of their son, Bella’s twin.

Today, as one of the most high-profile couples in sports, they seem ready to begin a new chapter. According to their breakup pact, if they ever split up, Georgina Rodriguez would reportedly receive a lifetime monthly pension exceeding USD 114,000, along with ownership of one of Ronaldo’s most prestigious properties, his multi-million-euro La Finca mansion, which Ronaldo purchased in 2010 for EUR 5 million (USD 5.64 million).
