It: Welcome To Derry Episode 7: Pennywise's Origin Twist Changes Plot Ahead Of 'Devastating' Final

Just when viewers thought that they understood the reality behind the monster waiting beneath Derry, It: Welcome To Derry dropped the most shocking twist. The newly released episode 7 has not only unveiled Pennywise's twisted origins but also delivers one of the most emotionally charged confrontations of the show. Ahead of the finale, the curiosity and dread are at an all-time high among fans, especially after the creators have teased that the ending will be nothing less than devastating.

It: Welcome To Derry episode 7 takes us back to the 'real Pennywise'

It: Welcome To Derry Episode 7, titled 'The Black Spot', opens in 1908, where we see the real Pennywise, the dancing clown, 'Bob Gray', performing for happy children. His joyful act is a complete contrast to what lies ahead. 'Bob' had a touching moment with his daughter, 'Ingrid,' before an ominous little boy approached him. Next, a scream in the distance attracts 'Bob' into the woods, where the child is revealed to be 'It'. 'It' is disguised, who murders him and adopts 'Pennywise' as its new, terrifying form. The scene confirms the theory that 'Pennywise' was never the original identity of a creature, rather a stolen face.

'Ingrid' confronts the monster wearing her father's face

The most chilling scene of the episode comes when 'Ingrid' encounters 'Pennywise' decades later. She dresses herself as a clown, approaches the creature, hoping to feel a connection to her father. But instead, 'Pennywise' brutally murders her husband and taunts her with the horrifying truth. However, 'Ingrid' was the one who called 'Clint Bowers' father to attract the mob to the Black Spot, hoping to attract 'It' to see her "father" again. She was not just a passive witness to chaos. Rather, she initiated the event. Revealing insights about her dad, 'Pennywise' shocks 'Ingrid' by saying:

"He still lives inside of me… reaching out for his baby girl."

On the other hand, Derry is in chaos as locals burn down the Black Spot. A tragic confession from Rich to Marge moments before his death adds more to the show's emotional weight. In the end, 'Pennywise' is fully awake, surrounded by blood, and ready to kill more who comes in his way.
