'War 2' Trailer Review: Netizens Left Stunned As Hrithik And NTR Lock Horns In A Blazing Action Saga

War 2 will soon be released in theatres, and the trailer for the film was released on July 25, 2025, leaving the audience stunned. After the teaser, released on May 20, 2025, fans had low expectations for the trailer. However, it seems like the glimpse has left them wowed. Directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Aditya Chopra under the banner of Yash Raj Films, the film is once again in conversation to break all the records of Indian action-thrillers. 

War 2 trailer shares a glimpse of the biggest theatrical war on screen

The eagerly awaited trailer of Bollywood hitmaker, Hrithik Roshan and Tollywood superstar, Jr NTR's War 2 is finally out. The trailer has taken fans by surprise, following the teaser and leaving them unsure how the film will progress. However, they have been proved wrong and left completely mind-blown. The blazing trailer is intense, featuring Hrithik and NTR engaging in a massive fight over their love for the nation. 

The trailer definitely didn't disappoint the fans and put War 2 back on track to become 2025's biggest hit. The film succeeded in surpassing their sky-high expectations. Hrithik and NTR literally set the screens ablaze with their rugged looks, style, and swag in the film. Additionally, Kiara Advani's gorgeousness and glimpse into her action sequence also add to the film. Ensuring the fans that the Satya Prem Ki Katha actress will be seen in a never seen before role. 

The film's trailer is an insight into the 'intense war between two soldiers'. With the soul of War, the sequel seems to promise breathtaking action that takes place on land, in water, and even in the sky. The sequel is a prominent project in the YRF Spy universe and will be released in theatres across the globe on August 14, 2025, in Telugu, Tamil, and, of course, Hindi. Bollywood's ace filmmaker, Aditya Chopra, has backed the film under his Yash Raj Films banner.

Netizens react to the War 2 trailer

As soon as the trailer was released, fans have been raving about it online. A user penned, "BAAP RE BAAP !! It is indeed TRAILER OF THE YEAR. The GOD LEVEL ELEVATION scenes of @iHrithik and @tarak9999 will make theatres go WILD & CRAZY. The Sound design, scale, songs, everything is going to HISTORIC!! ALL RECORDS WILL BE SHATTERED." Another wrote, "War 2 trailer is the best. It has set the trailer on fire..." A comment read, "Perfect cut..Peak writing..On Point Music..The theatrical experience promised..#War2Trailer."

However, some netizens were not pleased with Kiara's character 'Kavya Luthra' being shrunk to bikini shots, which started a discussion of its own. For the unversed, Kiara will be playing the role of 'Colonel Luthra's' daughter and an army officer in the film. A user penned, "This is such a shame that female officers in spy and army movies are always downgraded to bikini shots." Responding to the comment, a user wrote, "Last I checked, women have autonomy over their own bodies and clothing. Try focusing on actual problems instead of what someone wears."
