'War 2' OTT Release, When And Where To Watch Hrithik Roshan And Jr. NTR's Action Thriller Film

War 2 was one of the most anticipated action thriller films of 2025, which was released in theatres on August 14, 2025, with a lot of expectations. The film is directed by Ayan Mukerji and it stars the powerhouse duo, Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR. While some fans appreciated the huge scale and execution of it, others felt the VFX didn't match the hype. Whether viewers liked the film or not, it managed to earn Rs. 470 crores worldwide. For those who missed it in theatres, the film is out on OTT platforms. Read on to know more details about the same.

Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR’s War 2 is out on Netflix

The YRF spy blockbuster action thriller film, War 2, has arrived on Netflix from October 9, 2025, in multiple languages including Hindi, Telugu and Tamil. On October 8, 2025, the official Instagram page of Netflix had announced that the film is all set to release on the OTT platform. The film was released on Netflix after eight weeks of the theatrical release. While sharing the OTT release of War 2, Netflix wrote an interesting caption, which can be read as:

"Double the rage. Double the rampage. Ready for the War? Watch War 2, out 9 October on Netflix."

Plot of the film, War 2

War 2 follows 'Kabir' (played by Hrithik Roshan), who was a spy but now is shown as a rogue agent. When he gets linked to a dangerous criminal group, RAW sends 'Vikram' (played by Jr. NTR) to track and finish him. While 'Vikram' tries his best to find him, 'Kabir' on the other hand, moves inside the gang and creates confusion, which makes everyone wonder if he is really on their side. The first half of the film is full of action, fight and suspense. 

The second half of the film focuses on the backstory of Hrithik, Jr. NTR and Kiara's character. Viewers get to see the past of 'Kabir' and 'Vikram', which is that they used to be best friends in their childhood. Apart from this, a love angle is also shown between ‘Kabir’ and ‘Kavya’ (played by Kiara Advani). Towards the end, 'Kabir' succeeds in fighting the real enemy. The post-credits scene of War 2 shows Bobby Doel, who teases his upcoming film, Alpha.

Hrithik Roshan is one of the most versatile actors in Bollywood. After his blockbuster role in War 2, he is all set to reprise his iconic character in Krrish 4. Interestingly, Hrithik will also be directing the film. The film is expected to release in 2026. In his personal life, Hrithik was married to Sussanne Khan but the duo parted ways in 2014. Currently, he is in a relationship with actress, Saba Azad, who was recently seen in the film, Songs of Paradise.

Jr. NTR is a dominant face in the Telugu film industry. After War 2, he is gearing up for his next project, Dragon, directed by Prashanth Neel. The film is scheduled to release in June 2026. In his personal life, the actor has been married to Lakshmi Pranathi since 2011. The couple has two sons, Abhay Ram and Bhargav Ram.
