Vivek Oberoi’s past relationship with his Kyun! Ho Gaya Na co-star, Aishwarya Rai, was the most-talked-about gossip back then. The duo started dating one another when the latter had just broken up with her ex-beau, Salman Khan. However, their relationship didn’t stick longer, and they parted ways in 2005. At that time, Vivek even publicly claimed how Aishwarya’s ex, Salman Khan, threatened him for dating the former, which took a toll on his career. Fast forward to today, Aishwarya and Vivek have moved on and are happily settled with their respective spouses and children.
Vivek Oberoi bared his heart out in a recent interaction with Anas Boukhash’s podcast. The actor recalled his past and candidly revealed his personal life. Speaking along the same lines, Vivek highlighted how he got hurt multiple times in his past relationships since his exes were dishonest, as they left him despite having made promises of commitment. While Vivek didn’t take any particular name well, it made many wonder whether his statements hinted at his breakup with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Vivek mentioned:

“I am an all-or-nothing guy. I love with all my heart, but people like me get hurt. And when I was hurt, it was very difficult. The path that many such people take after getting hurt is that they try not to be who they are and be superficial. It was amazing in the beginning; you brought out your best flirtatious self, and I was playing the field. It was a big ego kick. But I was never dishonest. I wouldn’t commit to somebody and leave. I would be straightforward and tell them I am not looking for anything serious.”

After his fair share of heartbreaks, Vivek Oberoi finally found peace and love in his wifey, Priyanka Alva, whom he married on October 29, 2010. Speaking about the same, Vivek made a rather unusual revelation and mentioned how many of his ex-girlfriends, with whom he had a casual relationship, attended his wedding. In his words:
“I stayed friends with a lot of my casual girlfriends, and a lot of them even came to my wedding.”
In an earlier interview with Bollywood Bubble, Vivek Oberoi was asked whether he would’ve wanted to make his past relationship with Aishwarya Rai when he started his career. The actor refused to comment and termed his former relationship ‘done and dusted’. Moreover, he mentioned that he never again spoke about his past with Aishwarya Rai until he was married.

In a previous interview with Pinkvilla, Vivek Oberoi spoke about facing bitter breakups in his past relationships. The actor mentioned that he gave everything to the relationship but didn’t receive the same respect. Adding how it led him to be cynical of love for the longest time, Vivek mentioned:
“So my experience in love at that point was one where I felt very let down, I felt undervalued. I felt that what I had done and what I had given in my relationship vs just the respect just the acknowledgement of that was missing. And that made me very cynical and very bitter.”
