Ace Telugu actor and producer, Vishnu Manchu, has lately spoken about his upcoming movie, Kannappa whose hard disk had the footage of the movie. He alleged that his brother, actor, Manoj, had stolen the hard disk. Vishnu suspected and spoke about the same in a recent media interaction that took place in Chennai. Vishnu shared that the accused, Raghu and Charitha, who are the prime suspects, have been employed by his brother, Manoj. Vishnu also shared that he is not sure if Raghu dances to the tunes of Manoj.
Vishnu was at a media event in Chennai and, as per a latest report by The Screen, shared that VFX work of the movie was taking place in Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Dubai and London. Vishnu shared that his hard disk contained a lot of important and sensitive information. Vishnu reportedly accused Raghu of stealing the hard disk, but also shared that he was a bit unsure if Manoj had pressured him to do so. Vishnu elaborated:
“When the VFX-related hard disk was sent from Mumbai, it reached my father Mohan Babu’s residence in Film Nagar. It’s the norm. We are three siblings and all our packages arrive there, and our respective managers would go collect it. Similarly, the hard disk arrived at our dad’s residence. It was handed over to Raghu and Charitha, and they have been missing since then."
Vishnu also added that everyone is aware of what is happening in their family. He did try to reach Manoj, and even their common friends did, but could not get through to him. Vishnu also shared that he does not know if someone gave the robbers the order to steal the hardisk but after this attempt, he was left with no option but to file a police complaint.
It is not unknown that the Manchu family has been embroiled in a long family feud, and for this reason, Manoj has also been thrown out of his dad, Mohan Babu's, home. Vishnu also shared that the Kannappa hard disk had password protection and so would be pretty difficult to crack open. He shared:
"99 per cent, you cannot crack the password, there is one per cent chance though. Even if they manage to leak the footage, I urge everyone not to watch the leaked footage. A lot of hard work has gone into the film."
It was in Film Nagar, Hyderabad, where a month before the release of Kannappa, the robbery took place. Vishnu's team had released a statement after the robbery and shared that there had been 'sabotage and personal vendetta' behind the alleged incident that took place. According to a complaint by the police, the footage was sent to the official production, 24 Frames Factory, from Mumbai on March 23, 2025, by a VFX vendor.

The complaint further mentioned that DTDC had sent the courier, and a staff member had received the courier and then given it to someone else. The complaint in the FIR also stated that the hard drive was taken without any authorisation and with malicious and deliberate intent. Kannappa is all set to hit the big screens on June 27, 2025.
