Well, Virender likes to keep his personal life private and hence, he doesn't share much about his life on his Instagram feed. But on February 12, 2020, he took to his Instagram handle and posted an adorable picture with his 10-year-old son, Vedant. Along with it, he wrote in Devnagri font, "Ek pita or bete ke beech mein bahut gehra pyaar hota hai, Pita jata nahi pata or beta samjh nahi pata." Check out the picture below:
We totally loved this adorable gesture of Virender and the way he tried expressing his love. But we cannot ignore the fact that the cricketer's youngest son, Vedant shares an uncanny resemblance with Virender when he was younger. We will be sharing their collage below! On the left is his son, Vedant and on the right is Virender when he was younger.
In an interaction with Star Sports, Virender had shared that he had told his sons that he will gift them a Ferrari on one condition. He had shared, "I have told my sons that if they score more than 319 in any form of cricket, let it be in school, Under-16 or Under-19, I will gift a Ferrari. It is a motivation for them." In an interview with Outlook India, Virender had talked about his children and how time is flying for him. He had said, "Aryavir is going to be 13 next year and teenagers are not easy to control. We spend as much time as possible with our children. When I was travelling, I missed them a lot. We realise that when children grow up, they will not spend any time with you. So this is our best time. A good day usually ends with Kaun Banega Crorepati or a movie together."
Virender had also shared how he actively indulge in his kids' upbringing and had shared, "Mobile phones only on Sundays and the kids must tell me or my wife what they are watching. This parental guidance is crucial and it's important to discuss everything with your children. Be it sex, movies, sports or the dos and don'ts of life, the lessons must come from parents and not from outside. This frankness between parent and child will make them better individuals and that is what we want them to become. But more importantly, they must understand that being Virender Sehwag's sons don't give them an advantage in life and you shall be punished for any wrongdoing, especially towards women."
