Vinod Khanna Got Carried Away During An Intimate Bedroom Scene With Dimple Kapadia, She Was Shocked

Vinod Khanna was one of the most charming actors in Bollywood, who gave tough competition to actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra, Rishi Kapoor and many others. After making his acting debut in 1968 with the film, Man Ka Meet, Vinod went on to star in films like Mere Apne, Mera Gaon Mera Desh, Achanak, Amar Akbar Anthony, Qurbani, and many others.

When Vinod was at the peak of his career, he left the entertainment world and went to the US to follow his spiritual journey. He joined spiritual guru, Osho Rajneesh and took a break from acting. After his five-year hiatus, Vinod returned to films and used to shoot day and night. It was during that time when the actor got carried away while shooting an intimate scene with Dimple Kapadia. It so happened that when Vinod joined back films, he worked day and night. During the shooting of Prem Dharm, which featured Dimple Kapadia, opposite him, Vinod was supposed to hug and kiss the actress. The director of the film, Mahesh Bhatt, started rolling the camera, and Vinod enacted the scene with Dimple.

Mahesh decided to take one more shot of the scene with a long duration. He shifted his position along with the crew and sat a little far to take the shot. However, this time when the camera started rolling, Vinod started kissing and hugging Dimple. Mahesh shouted ‘cut’ but Vinod’ didn’t hear his voice and continued kissing and hugging Dimple.

While Vinod lost control over him, Dimple got scared and stood in shock and disbelief. On the other hand, Mahesh, along with the other crew members, rushed towards Vinod and released Dimple. As per multiple reports, Dimple, who was shocked rushed to her make-up room. Later, Mahesh confronted Vinod and asked him to apologise to Dimple and convince her that he was too drunk. Moreover, he admitted that he lost his control as he was shooting such intimate scenes after a long break.

Vinod Khanna’s troubled married life

Vinod Khanna initially tied the knot with the first love of his life, Geetanjali Taleyarkhan, and they were blessed with two sons, Akshay Khanna and Rahul Khanna. However, he was then moved towards spirituality, and despite Geetanjali trying immensely hard to bring him back on track, he couldn't return. Finally, they parted ways in 1985. Then, after some years, he yet again shifted his base from the US to India. On his mother's 43rd birthday, he met a beautiful lady, Kavita Daftary, and fell head-over-heels in love with her. They then tied the knot and were blessed with a son, Sakshi and a daughter, Shraddha.

Vinod Khanna suffered some personal losses, which had a devastating impact on him. He sought spiritual entitlement by becoming a follower of Osho Rajneesh, residing at the Rajneeshpuram commune. In an interview with Pinkvilla, Ma Anand Sheela, Osho’s former close aide, opened up about Vinod Khanna’s decision to quit the glamour world and seek spiritual healing. Revealing that marital issues might have played a significant role in his decision to walk away from fame, she said:

“Marital problems are very prevalent in the world. They can make or break someone. I think that was his struggle from what I could understand… I never asked him if he found peace at the Ashram.”
