Vincy Aloshious Withdraws Charges Against Shine Tom Chacko After The Actor's Name Was Made Public

Recently, Malayalam actress, Vincy Aloshious made some serious allegations against her co-star, Shine Tom Chacko from the upcoming film, Soothravakyam. In a video of hers, she revealed during a film’s shooting she was sexually harrassed. Following the incident, Vincy Aloshious made a formal complaint to the Kerala Film Chamber and the Internal Complaints Committee(ICC). But, now the actress has reportedly decided to retract the complaint against actor, Shine Tom Chacko, citing breach of privacy.

Vincy Aloshious decided to withdraw the formal complaint made by her against Shine Tom Chacko

Vincy Aloshious earlier expressed her views to not work with actors who consume drugs during the inauguration of the 67th operational year of the KCYM Ernakulam-Angamaly Major Archdiocese, held at Pallippuram Church. She also filed a formal complaint against her co-star, Shine Tom Chacko. However, she has now decided to back off from the charges she made against the actor. She reportedly decided to withdraw the complaint citing breach of privacy. According to Kerala Kaumudi report, the actress didn’t want the lead actor’s name to come out in public but after the name was made public, she felt disappointed. Speaking of the same to Kerala Kaumudi, Vincy said:

“I made it clear to the authorities that the lead actor’s name shall not be made public. It is a breach of trust. One person’s mistake is now going to affect an entire movie. This should not happen. This is why I refrained from making public the name of the actor. I am extremely happy for the support I received from cinema organisations. The actor should not be denied work as he is massively talented. Let’s allow him to rectify his mistakes."

What was Vincy Aloshious’s complaint against Shine Tom Chacko?

For those unversed Vincy filed a complaint against Shine Tom Chacko when she was shooting for their upcoming Malayalam family comedy-drama, Soothravakyam. The actress recalled an incident where the lead actor, Shine Tom Chacko misbehaved with her when she was facing issues with her costume. Earlier this month, during the inauguration of the 67th operational year of the KCYM Ernakulam-Angamaly Major Archdiocese in Kerala, Vincy disclosed:

“When there was an issue with my dress, I wanted to get it fixed. He also wanted to come with me, saying, ‘I can help get it ready.’ This was said in front of everyone, and it made the situation very uncomfortable."

Vincy Aloshious also revealed that the actor allegedly consumed drugs on sets. She recalled an incident during a scene practise of the film, Soothravakyam and mentioned that during the rehearsal she found the actor spilling a white substance out of his mouth. Addressing the same, Vincy said:

“During a scene practice, something white spilled from his mouth onto the table. It was very evident that he was using drugs on set, which created a nuisance for everyone around. It's one thing to use drugs in personal life, but when it affects your professional environment, it becomes unacceptable.”

Amidst Vincy Aloshious’ allegation, Shine Tom Chacko managed to flee during a police raid

The Malayalam actor, Shine Tom Chacko along with two associates managed to flee from a hotel in Kochi during a surprise drug raid. As per reports, the police got a tip-off about the likely use of drugs by him. According to the Manorama Online report, the raid was carried by the narcotics team of DANSAF around 11 pm on April 16, 2025. According to The Times Of India report, Shine Tom Chacko and his two associates escaped from the third floor of the hotel immediately after the investigation began.
