The actor is dating his Lust Stories 2 co-star, Tamannaah Bhatia, and they are considered one of the most adorable couples in the B-town.
Vijay and Tamannaah worked together in Lust Stories 2 but didn't date during its filming. He revealed that he asked Tamannaah out when they finished the shoot for it. Vijay recently sat down for an interview with Mashable India and said that he was shocked when their relationship drew a lot of public and media attention. Vijay often felt that the limelight surrounding his relationship might overshadow his film releases. But gradually, Vijay has become comfortable with it. He was quoted as saying:

"Shock laga ki itna logon ko interest hai is mein but I got used to it now. Pehle aisa laga ki meri film release se badi news hai so that was a big revealing of how people see things."

Vijay accepted that he and Tamannaah enjoy the public interest in their relationship. Their bond has been strong and lovely. In a previous interview with Film Companion, he had said they both went on to bond organically. In the same interview, Tamannaah added that Vijay cares a lot about her, and she considers him as her 'happy place.'
Vijay Varma revealed an interesting anecdote that he moved to Mumbai for work when Tamannaah, who grew up in Mumbai, shifted to Hyderabad for work. So, they crossed their paths at the same time. The actor, whose family lives in Hyderabad, said he was impressed with Tamannaah's fluency in Telugu and Tamil. For the unversed, Tamannaah works extensively in Tamil and Telugu cinema. Due to these interesting aspects, Vijay finds his relationship with Tamannaah interesting.
