Victoria Beckham's Dance Video With Her Dad Resurfaces As Fans Slam Brooklyn's 'Inappropriate' Claim

One aspect that has particularly drawn attention is the eldest Beckham heir's claim that his mother, Victoria Beckham, "hijacked" his first dance with Nicola Peltz at their wedding. 

While Brooklyn says the dance was "inappropriate" and he will make sure the alleged dance video never leaks to the public, not everyone is convinced Victoria had any such intent. And now, a resurfaced video of Victoria Beckham dancing with her father has left the internet raising eyebrows at the validity of Brooklyn's claim.

What Brooklyn Beckham said about Victoria Beckham hijacking Nicola Peltz's first dance

Brooklyn broke his silence surrounding the long-standing Beckham family feud that was believed to have originated from his wedding to Nicola Peltz in 2022. On January 19, 2026, he posted explosive claims about his and Nicola's estrangement from the Beckham clan, clarifying that cracks had formed long before the wedding. 

In his lengthy statement, Brooklyn alleged that his mother ruined his first dance with Nicola as a newlywed. He revealed how, when singer Marc Anthony invited the bride and groom on stage for their first dance, which they had planned and rehearsed for weeks, Victoria was already standing there, waiting to dance with her eldest son. Brooklyn wrote:

"My mum picked my first dance with my wife, which had been planned weeks in advance, to a romantic song, in front of our 500 wedding guests. My choreographer said to me that it was the most awkward moment she had ever witnessed because it was inappropriate in front of everyone."

Brooklyn alleged that danced "inappropriately" on him, making him and the guests uncomfortable. He shared how it made him feel extremely uncomfortable and humiliated. In his words:

"I have never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life. We showed no ill will or disrespect — we just wanted our moment. That ended up becoming an embarrassing job photograph, not intimacy or happiness."

Brooklyn's bombshell allegations have since sparked a firestorm of reactions, with netizens looking for every possible clue about the alleged dance video from that exclusive wedding. Some users have dug up an old video clip of Victoria Beckham dancing with her father, Tony Adams. Many argued that her movement style has always been about confidence, expression, and unapologetic sensuality. 

In a recent episode of The Toast podcast, hosts Jackie Oshry and Claudia Oshry also raised the same matter, citing the now-viral video. They didn't hold back as they discussed Brooklyn's claim that Victoria's dance was "inappropriate". Reacting to Brooklyn’s wording, the hosts questioned why he chose to frame the moment the way he did. Jackie said:

"Him [Brooklyn] saying his mother danced in a properly like seriously, why did you do [it]? Now, a video of Victoria dancing with her father has resurfaced and it appears as though she's a sexy dancer no matter who she's dancing with. What do you mean she's just a shoulder dancer?" 

The podcast hosts were especially critical of Brooklyn’s decision to make the allegation public at all. The Oshry sisters went on to criticise Brooklyn, saying that calling his mother's dance "inappropriate" was an "unforgivable thing to say.” Claudia remarked:

"When I saw it I was like... seriously, I got it for my chair like, 'I'm done'... because regardless of what's in the statement, the fact that he put out eight pages talking about why he's not reconciling with his family. Like, keep it to yourself."

There have been many other instances when Victoria's dance clips with David Beckham, Cruz, and even Nicola Peltz took over the internet, and the Spice Girls star looked cosily enjoying herself in each of them. Citing these videos, fans are questioning the appropriateness of Brooklyn's claims.

The wedding DJ reacts to Brooklyn Beckham's "inappropriate dance" claim

For those unaware, Brooklyn and Nicola's wedding was strictly exclusive, and none of the guests were allowed to bring phones or cameras except the photographers. While Brooklyn has declared he would never release that dance video, some of the attendees have spoken up about the couple's 2022 wedding. One of the guests was DJ Fat Tony, who performed at the wedding. On January 21, 2025, Tony shared a clip of Lucy Punch’s character from Motherland, vibing to music. Sharing the clip, captioned “POV: Victoria Beckham during Brooklyn’s first dance,” the 60-year-old wrote:

“Actual video footage it’s true I was there !”

Shortly after Brooklyn made these claims, Tony's partner, Stavros Agapiou, also made a similar statement. Agapiou, who was also among the 500 guests, wrote in a now-deleted comment on an Instagram post:

“I was there, and she did... he’s telling the truth. Good on him for finally speaking out!”

Brooklyn's allegation has revived the long-running rumours that the fallout between Nicola and the Beckhams began with the wedding dress. Brooklyn stated that Victoria, who was originally supposed to design Nicola's dress, bailed at the "eleventh hour", leaving Nicola to urgently arrange last minute replacement. However, when Vogue covered a story on Nicola's custom Valentino Haute Couture gown in 2022, the stylist, Leslie Fremar, had mentioned how the intricate dress took them over a year to make. It suggests that Nicola’s Valentino dress was carefully planned well in advance, raising questions about the timeline Brooklyn described.
