Vicky Kaushal started his career in the film industry almost ten years ago. Over the years, the 36-year-old actor has won many hearts with his superb on-screen performances and endearing nature. In addition to his career, Vicky's personal life has also been covered by the media. The same happened yet again. Recently, Vicky opened up about dealing with anxiety.
The actor, Vicky Kaushal, talked about his battles with anxiety, how he handles it, and his general strategy. In an interview with Harper's Bazaar, he stated that the best approach to dealing with anxiety is to acknowledge it. Thinking back on some insightful counsel he had received, he recalled that a senior actor had advised him to embrace his nervousness, stressing that although it will always exist. It is crucial to learn to manage it. He said that recognizing it is an important first step. In his words:

"A senior actor once told me to make anxiety your friend. It's always going to be there; you just need to master it. Acknowledging it is a great first step."
The Sam Bahadur star also emphasized the importance of preserving one's creative spark and focusing on challenges rather than allowing anxiety to control one. He stated that he was fascinated by the many methods of filmmaking and showed a clear interest in the possibility of directing, even if he wasn't sure if he wanted to do so. He said:
"I'm fascinated by the different approaches in filmmaking. I'm not sure if I'd step into directing yet, but I'm definitely intrigued."
Vicky Kaushal noted that Bollywood is going through an interesting transition right now, with fans responding to authenticity and new voices rising to prominence. People are growing more open to different stories, he said. In his words:
"We're in an exciting phase. New voices are gaining power, and authenticity resonates with audiences. People are becoming more open to diverse narratives."
Looking back on his early career, the actor, Vicky Kaushal, said he didn't have the luxury of 'choice' at first. He clarified that the movies chose him after he auditioned for those specific roles instead of the other way around. He said:
"When I started, I didn't have the luxury of choice. I auditioned for roles, and the films chose me rather than the other way around."

Vicky Kaushal claimed that he has always played a range of personas in each role in an effort to challenge himself. He was motivated to take on difficult roles by Pankaj Tripathi and Manoj Bajpayee, two actors who worked on Gangs of Wasseypur . In his words:
"I have always wanted to challenge myself to do the same, to be someone different with each role."
On the professional front, Vicky's upcoming film is Chhava, which is based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. The period battle drama, directed by Laxman Utekar, also features notable performances by Rashmika Mandanna and Akshaye Khanna. It will be released on December 6, 2024.
