Katrina Kaif Reveals Gaining Weight And Being Insecure About It, Vicky Says 'It's Kay To Be You...'

Bollywood actress, Katrina Kaif is living happily ever after with actor, Vicky Kaushal. Since the couple tied the knot in 2021 after dating secretly, they never missed a chance to compliment each other publicly. The duo is counted among the much-loved couples of Bollywood. Recently, in a chat show, Katrina Kaif revealed that she sometimes gets insecure about her physical appearance. And her husband, Vicky Kaushal’s reaction to her ‘complaining’ will leave you manifesting a future partner like him.

Vicky Kaushal reminds Katrina, ‘It’s Kay to be You’

Apart from having a successful acting career, Katrina Kaif is also the owner of her beauty brand, Kay Beauty by Katrina. In 2019, popular online beauty shopping store, Nykaa, and Bollywood actress, Katrina Kaif collaborated together to launch the cosmetic line. As the brand's tagline says, ‘It’s Kay To Be You’, its mission includes decreasing the gap between skincare and high glamour. Katrina’s beauty brand also encourages women to feel confident in their unique beauty.

In a recent chat with beauty blogger and entrepreneur, Huda Kattan, the actress shared that just like any other woman, she too has to remind herself every day that ‘It’s Kay to be You’. Sometimes, the actress forgets to apply her brand tagline to herself and doubts her physical appearance. The Jab Tak Hai Jaan actress further revealed how her husband, Vicky Kaushal reacts whenever she doubts herself.

Citing an example, the actress said that whenever she points out that she is not happy with her appearance or is gaining weight, Vicky reminds her that she is the one who keeps telling others to embrace their unique beauty. In her words:

“So, for example, I will be sitting and talking with my husband or getting ready for an event, and I'll be complaining about something about my physical appearance or saying, 'I am not happy with the way I am looking, and I've gained weight and I'm not comfortable'. And my husband will sit there and go 'Aren't you the one who keeps telling everyone It's Kay to be You however you are and just how you are'?”

Katrina Kaif advises people to step into business only if they are passionate

During the same conversation, the actress was questioned about her business strategies and advertisement models. To this, the actress replied that she has always believed that a new business should be unique and add something new in the market. According to her, one should only step into the entrepreneurial world if they are passionate enough. To quote her:

“You know, I have always had this belief that only step into business if you are sincerely passionate about what you are doing and also if you have something new to add in that arena.”

Furthermore, she connected her beliefs with her business. She said that she believed in Kay Beauty and that it would give beauty lovers something new to connect with. Now that Katrina is a successful business owner, she said:

“I really believed that with Kay Beauty, we had something new to add and I was really excited about that. I knew that this was going to resonate and this was going to connect with beauty lovers.”
