The world of television has often introduced the viewers to young talents, who manage to capture hearts with their innocence and strong screen presence. One such talent was 10-year-old, Veer Sharma, who was well known for portraying the role of Lakshman in the mythological serial, Veer Hanuman. Recently, an unfortunate incident took place, which shattered Veer Sharma's family, friends and fans.

According to a report by NDTV, on September 27, 2025, late at night in the Deep Shree multi-storey building at Kota's Anantpura, a fire took place, which claimed the lives of Veer Sharma and his brother, Shaurya Sharma. Reportedly, the fire broke out on the fourth floor, where the boys were alone.

According to the police, the two young boys died due to suffocation created by the thick smoke. Reportedly, when the neighbours noticed the smoke, they broke the door and pulled the boys out. They were rushed to the hospital, where they were declared dead. According to NDTV, police have shared that an electrical short circuit was the possible reason for the fire. The superintendent of Police, Tejaswini Gautam has shared:

"The drawing room was completely gutted, while other areas of the flat also bore burn marks."

Veer and Shaurya were the sons of actress, Rita Sharma and Jitendra Sharma

Veer and Shaurya were the sons of Rita Sharma and Jitendra Sharma. Rita Sharma is a well-known actress, who is known for her work in TV and web shows like Crash Course, Crimes and Confessions and Chahatein. On the other hand, the father of the kids, Jitendra Sharma is a faculty member at a private coaching institute in Kota.

Reportedly, Veer Sharma was all set to begin shooting for a film and his elder brother, Shaurya was preparing for IIT entrance examination. After the devastating accident, Jitendra Sharma reportedly announced that he wants the eyes of both of his sons to be donated. According to a report by Bhaskar English, Jitendra opened up about the death and said:

"Until now, my children’s interviews were being published. Today, it is the news of their death. When I rushed upstairs, the door would not open. With the help of others, we broke it down. My elder son Shaurya was lying near the bathroom, while Veer was found on the drawing room floor. Both were rushed to hospital, but doctors declared them dead."
