Celebrity mehendi artist, Veena Nagda has been winning hearts for years now. She has won the hearts of celebrity brides by cladding their hands with henna on their special days. Not only this, but she is also hailed as the 'Mehendi Queen Of Bollywood' and has worked in numerous Hindi films. There have been rumours that Veena gets paid lakhs for her work with celebrities. Well, she recently reacted to the same.
Veena Nagda recently sat for an interview with Pinkvilla's Hindi Rush, wherein she was asked about a lot of stuff. One of the questions was about her payments. Veena shared that her charges are very minimal, and it's the same for celebrities and normal brides. She also mentioned that she began from the charges of Rs. 25 at the Ambanis, back in the time when she didn't have any cards or phones. Veena mentioned that Kokilaben Ambani suggested that she should have a phone that's which she later followed. Veena said:

"Dekho sablog ko aise lagta hai ki bohat charge karti hai. Par me apko bata du, meri sabke like charge normal hi hai, celebrity ho ki normal ho, kyuni me khud ek normal family se hu."
Veena Nagda, in the same interview, mentioned that her payment scale is minimal and it depends on the bride's preferred designs as well. She also reacted to buzz about getting paid in lakhs for applying mehendi to celeb brides and said that people had questioned her if she gets Rs. 2-5 lakhs for the same, which is not true. In Veena's words:
"Dekho jisko jo batein karni hai, wo karenge. Jaise mere bare me bhi ki Veena ji 2 lakh lete hai 5 lakh lete hai, jabki me leti nahi hu. Mera inta charges hi nahi hai, mera normal charges hai."
In the same interview, The mehendi queen of Bollywood, Veena was asked if her payment ever got delayed by the celebrities, as it's a freelance work. To this, Veena mentioned that it never happened that her payment got delayed as it's a shagun. She also said that when she worked for K3G, she didn't even know how to write or receive cheques and was happy about applying mehendi to celebrities. However, later, she got a call for her payment and went to the office to receive the same.

In an interview with Jagran TV, Veena Nagda was asked about her charges for applying mehendi to celebrities. The mehendi artist shared that she doesn't charge anything from the celebs, and it depends on them about how much they would want to pay to her. Talking about her regular charges, Veena said that she takes Rs. 3,000-7,000 for brides if they clad their hands and feet with henna on their special day, and for guests, she takes Rs. 25-50.
Veena Nagda has decked up a lot of Bollywood actresses' hands on their special day, including Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, Kriti Kharbanda, Karisma Kapoor, Farah Khan, and Shilpa Shetty, among others. She also has a close bond with the Ambanis, and she has been associated with them for 38 years now. Well, talking about Hindi films, Veena has worked on movies by doing mehendi for celebrities like Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Patiala House, Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai, Kal Ho Na Ho, God Tussi Great Ho, U Me Aur Hum, and Yeh Jawaani Hai Dewaani, among others.
