We as humans crave for relationships and bonds, no matter how many zeroes we have at the end of our bank balance. Life is all about the cherishing relationships that we have in our hands. However, some relationships don’t get the same level of recognition in terms of others in this world. That one relation is of a father with his children. A father is the one, who never shows his true sentiments in front of his children. The only time he allows his eyes to open the gates to let those tears flow is when his daughter bids the final goodbye after her marriage. Even though fathers don’t show how much they love their children, there’s always some softness in nature when it’s about their daughters. Whereas, in terms of their sons, they hand-over all the racks of love and affection to the mothers and portray the character of a serious and frightening teacher. However, a father does treat his son as a friend too but only after he becomes something in his life. Until then, the son has to take every advice of his father with the topping of this famous dialogue, “when you'll be in your 40s, then you'll understand all these things." Well, every generation comes up with different ideologies about life, struggles, dreams, and relationships. But, in the case of a father-son relationship, this difference takes a completely rough turn. Maybe, that is because they both carry the heart of a man and we all know what it means (Yes! ego). Nonetheless, you’ll feel lucky to know that even celebrities face these little struggles with their fathers.
One such celebrity is our favourite Varun Dhawan, as the Mr Lele star appeared on The Kapil Sharma Show to promote his forthcoming film, Street Dancer 3D with film director Remo D’Souza. On the show, Varun talked about his ultimate test of proving his dad, David Dhawan wrong in almost every step of his career. The actor had explained, “I always take it as a challenge to prove dad wrong in every situation and come out with a better version of me.” The context in which Varun wants to prove his dad wrong is that he's enthusiastic and passionate about his work and is also open to every single challenge that comes along with the characters he does in movies. During the show, Varun Dhawan also sheds some light on his experience of working with his dad, David Dhawan in Coolie No 1. As the actor revealed that his dad was remarkably strict with him during the shooting of the film, Varun also unveiled one incident, where he requested for the film's script. On which his father, Dhawan sahab simply said 'no' and added that, "Jab Maine Salman Khan, Govinda, Anil Kapoor ko scripts nahi dikhai, to tujhe kyu dikhau?" Well, there’s no doubt that David Dhawan is just like many other Bollywood filmmakers and stars who don’t like giving special treatment to their children on the sets.
In the film, Coolie No 1, Varun Dhawan is going to be seen alongside, Sara Ali Khan, Paresh Rawal, Javed Jaffrey, Rajpal Yadav, and many others. The film is going to be a remake of Dhawan’s 1995 film of the same name. There’s no denying to the fact that it was a rollercoaster ride of emotions for David Dhawan to direct his son in one of his best-directed films. However, on the personal front, David Dhawan shares a close relationship with his son, Varun Dhawan. The director has talked about his son’s girlfriend, Natasha Dalal a lot of times in media. But, at the same time, David Dhawan is also tired of hearing rumours about his son’s marriage date. In a media interaction, David had expressed his views on Varun and Natasha’s marriage, and had stated, “I know everybody is eager to see Varun married; so am I. We all in the family would be happy when he gets married. Shaadi hogi khoob dhoom-dhaam se. But let’s not make up the dates and venues for the wedding. We will officially announce the wedding with all the details when it happens.” (Don't Miss: Mona Singh Celebrates Her First Lohri After Marriage, See Pictures To Get Traditional Punjabi Feels)
