Varun Dhawan and Nargis Fakhri first worked together in the 2014 release, Main Tera Hero. Since then, the duo has remained close friends and frequently keep in touch through social media. Varun and Nargis have often gushed about how much fun they have working together in interviews, which led to some speculation about the two dating earlier. However, those rumours were quickly squashed by Nargis in 2014. Now, a video of the duo from the sets of Main Tera Hero has gone viral in which Varun seemed unwilling to let Nargis go during an intimate scene even after the director yelled to cut, and it has incited a lot of opinions from netizens.
Recently, we stumbled upon a video of Varun Dhawan and Nargis Fakhri from the sets of Main Tera Hero on Reddit. In the clip, Varun and Nargis seemed to be shooting an intimate scene as they held each other close. The scene had a passionate ambiance as a fan was being used to blow Nargis' hair cinematically.
Interestingly, however, Varun refused to let Nargis go and continued to hold her close even after the director yelled cut. The director had to yell 'cut' about 5-6 times, whistle, and even shout 'pause' before Varun finally let the Rockstar actress go and sat up with a big smile on his face.
Nargis, on her part, didn't look uncomfortable in the least. Rather, she broke into a smile as Varun continued to hold even after the director yelled to cut. After Varun finally let her go, the actress burst out laughing. Rihanna's hit song, Where Have You Been, could also be heard playing in the background.
Netizens had much to say about the resurfaced clip, but many of them agreed that it was rather creepy. One user penned, "Creepy Dhawan. Being a professional actor should at least make you have a sense of boundaries. This guy is just a repeat offender and somehow gets away with it every time." Another netizen slammed Nargis and wrote, "Nargis laughing like a maniac is crazy. I genuinely believe she has a "Director saying cut" fetish. She herself did this to Emraan Haashmi when Director said cut and she grabbed him harder and kept kissing." The same user also shared a link to the alleged incident between Emraan and Nargis.

In an earlier with PTI, Nargis was asked whether it was true that she was romantically involved with her Main Tera Hero co-star, Varun Dhawan. The actress firmly stated that she was involved with herself and no one else and added:
"What? No way dude. Oh, really it's been written? I haven't read that. I don't have any idea about that. People just right stuff, right. That's hilarious."
Nargis indirectly blamed the media for the false rumours, referring to one time when it had been reported that she was partying all night with an actor. The model-turned-actress clarified that she hadn't even seen the actor, claiming that 'people' just wrote 'anything.' It is also worth noting that in other interviews, Varun has referred to Nargis as being 'one of the guys.'
