S.S. Rajamouli has once again proved his magic on screen. On November 15, 2025, S.S. Rajamouli unveiled the trailer of his upcoming film, Varanasi, starring Priyanka Chopra, Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran. For those who don’t know, the film was first titled SSMB29. Netizens can’t wait to watch S.S. Rajamouli’s Varanasi

As soon as S.S. Rajamouli and his team released the trailer of the film, Varanasi, a lot of fans took to their X (formerly Twitter) handles and shared their thoughts on the same. When S.S. Rajamouli shared the trailer of the film on his X handle, with the caption, “Here you go. Varanasi to the world.”, a lot of users on social media appreciated the huge scale of it. Some users also expressed their excitement on the same. 

One user commented, "This film should be on another level, guru… and you kept one of the most powerful titles, @ssrajamouli." Another user wrote, "Mark my words…. Varanasi will be a proud representation of Indian cinema to the global audience." A third user penned, "Varanasi glimpse looks like a visual marvel @ssrajamouli sir. The trailer of Varanasi

On November 15, 2025, the trailer of Varanasi was officially released, and it features an interesting mix of history, mythology and action. The 3-minute 40-second clip opens with a recreated version of ancient Varanasi from 512 CE, which was beautifully built in Ramoji City. The trailer also features fiery asteroids rushing towards the Earth, and one of them is seen crashing onto the Ross Ice Shelf in Antarctica. The trailer also shows locations like Africa's Amboseli, Ugrabhatti cave and more. However, the most exciting part is Mahesh Babu's entry on a bullock. 

The GlobeTrotter event in Hyderabad

For those who don't know, on November 15, 2025, the GlobeTrotter event was organised at the Ramoji Film City, and it brought together some of the finest and most legendary stars. For the event, Priyanka Chopra stole the spotlight with an ivory lehenga. She looked like an angel and while addressing the audience, she expressed her excitement on returning to Indian cinema. On the other hand, the producer, Karthikeya also got emotional while talking about the film.

S.S. Rajamouli was born on October 10, 1973, in Karnataka and is one of the most visionary and commercially successful film directors. He is well-known for creating larger-than-life sets in epic films that blend mythology, history and fantasy. Reportedly, his first film as a director was Student No. 1, however, he rose to fame for directing blockbuster films like Magadheera, Eega, Baahubali franchise, RRR and more. Over the years, he has won multiple awards like National Film Awards, Filmfare Awards, Saturn Awards and more.
