For the uninitiated, Vandana is the stepmother of Ishaan Khatter, who is the son of Rajesh Khattar and Neliima Azeem. It was on August 24, 2019, that after many attempts, Vandana and Rajesh had welcomed a little bundle of joy, Yuvaan Vanraj Khattar into their lives. Vandana had announced the birth of her son and how they had not given up for 11 years to become parents. She had written, “Never gave up for 11 years! Tried every science under the Sun ... and finally the universe heard me ... #Faith can move mountains! For all women n couples, You can read my story online ... #Google #Timesofindia ... Pls #Keepthefaith .. After all the struggles and hardships that #God tests you with, remember he loves you. Welcome baby #VanrajKhattar ... Our little #Krishna Thankyou for all your wishes and prayers. #Miracle #Yuvaankhattar @yuvaankhattar.”
For Vandana and Rajesh, it was one of the happiest news of their lives, however, there were people, who trolled the couple brutally for their decision of embracing parenthood at such an age. In a conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Vandana Sajnani Khatter shared her trolling experience and how she dealt with it. Recalling how people judged them and passed nasty remarks, Vandana shared, “I started seeing a lot of troll messages. People writing, ‘Bohot chul hai. Dada, Dadi Bache ke saath ghum rahe hain. Umar toh dekhi hai kya, Dadaji bache ko lekar ghum rahe.’”
Vandana also mentioned that people compare her son, Yuvaan with her step-son, Ishaan. She added, “People compare Ishaan and Yuvaan, but their age bracket is so different, they write such nasty comments.” Sharing how she deals with trolls and how age really doesn’t matter, she continued, “I laugh it off, but I’m going to talk about it someday. It is very important to convey to the people that age really does not matter. If they see Rajesh holding the baby, they say, ‘Dadaji aa gaye bache ko leke.’ It is so nasty. Of course, Rajesh and I have a 10-year age difference, but that doesn’t mean people should write such comments.”

Talking about how she deals with trolls and not letting them bother her, Vandana said, “I never took it to heart. I did have my bouts of helplessness, I did not know what to do. But, I told myself that it is your fault, not theirs, as they will keep talking. You should get up and do something, you are fat now, and you’re not the same. So, I would take it as an inspiration to myself. I tell myself, ‘Let them say, they’re going to say anyway. You might not that waistline life before, but it’s fine. How many of you can go through what you did?”
