Vada Pav girl, Chandrika Dixit, grabbed attention on social media. While she started selling vada pav from a small stall, it soon became 'Delhi's favourite snack', and Chandrika's success began to skyrocket, even bringing her the opportunity to appear on Bigg Boss OTT 3. The show was won by Sana Makbul, and the season was hosted by Anil Kapoor.
Chandrika was inside the house for several weeks, and as she entered, it instantly became a major topic of discussion, as viewers felt it was the only way to boost viewership by bringing viral contestants known for controversy. Recently, Chandrika made headlines again as she alleged her husband, Yash Dixit (Yugam Gera), of cheating on her. He also hit back at her, while Chandrika's recent video raised questions about her conversion to Islam. Here's what's happening around.
Chandrika Dixit started hitting the headlines again when she took to her social media handle and shared a video, wherein she alleged that her husband has been cheating on her. She was seen being emotional while adding that for the past two months, she has kept silent, while her husband has been cheating on her with another woman.
Chandrika added that she is the one to work, take care of their family and her kid, while her husband just gets up and decides to cheat on her. She mentioned that she has the proofs, and she also showed some photos of her husband with another woman, while adding that there's more than just the photos, which she cannot even think of. Chandrika questioned the reason for it while adding that she's not able to process. Chandrika could be quoted as saying:
"It’s been more than two months. I wasn’t speaking up, I kept quiet. Should I show it? This is evidence. I’m working, taking care of the child, managing the house, I’m handling everything. And you just get up and decide to do this? After asking whom? Why? That girl who keeps roaming around you all day saying, ‘my husband, my love, my home, my this, my that.' It’s not just photos. There are things far worse than photos that are tearing my mind apart. I can’t work. I can’t function. I can’t do anything. Why?"
To mention, while some of the social media users empathised with her, others wondered if Chandrika did the video for content only. On the other hand, Chandrika's husband, Yugam Gera took to his social media handle and mentioned that he accepts that he made some mistakes, while stating that he doesn't think the mistakes were something huge. He mentioned that while the Vada Pav girl has shown evidence, he too has some of it, but he won't bring them to light because he doesn't want to. He also stated that the restaurant that Chandrika runs exists because of him, and he is the one who made her. He could be quoted as saying:
"You’ve shown what you needed to show. The mistake is mine, and I accept it – but it’s not such a big one. Since you’re talking about evidence, I have plenty of it too. If I wanted, I could do a lot of things, but I won’t. And remember, the restaurant you’re running exists because of me. Tuje maine bnaya hai yaad rakh."
