Donald Trump's second term as the President of the United States kick-started on January 20, 2025. The politician took oath as America's 47th President at the United States Capital Rotunda. Several renowned personalities from all over the globe were in attendance. From the world's richest billionaires, Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, and Jeff Bezos, to India's external affairs minister, S Jaishankar, attended the event.

During Donald Trump's oath ceremony, US Vice-President, JD Vance's Indian-origin wife, Usha Vance, received the loudest cheer. The renowned lawyer, who has roots in India, looked stunning on the day and turned heads at the ceremony. Usha Vance wore a custom peony cashmere coat designed by Oscar de la Renta and paired it with a tea-length dress.

For the wreath-laying ceremony, Usha Vance opted for a white coat dress and coat, which Sergio Hudson designed. The lawyer-politician won everyone's hearts with her strapless gown at the candlelight dinner. The strapless gown was designed by the Indian designer, Gaurav Gupta. However, it's fair to say that Usha Vance's outfit for the vice president's dinner broke the most headlines. Apart from being the headline-maker in the fashion space, Usha is also making a huge noise in US politics.

During the oath ceremony, Donald Trump lauded JD Vance's wife, Usha Vance. The newly-elected President of the United States of America also added that she is smarter than her husband. Donald said, "JD was a great senator and a very, very smart one. The only one smarter is his wife". The comment received a loud cheer from the audience. After this, Donald continued praising Usha and left the room, erupting in laughter. Donald Trump said:

"I would have chosen her, but somehow the line of succession didn't work that way, right?"

What's even more interesting is that people are in awe of Mirabel Vance's 3-finger bandaid look that featured famous comic characters, Scooby-Doo and Bluey. It's fair to say that Usha Vance and her daughter, Mirabel Vance, have overshadowed everyone with their style and fashion quotient.

Usha Chilukuri Vance is officially the first Indian-origin woman to become the Second Lady of the United States of America. However, while most of the spotlight was on top of her, she has been receiving some negativity on the internet, too. For the uninitiated, when JD Vance was taking oath as the Vice-President of the United States of America, his wife, Usha Vance, looked at his face with so much pride and admiration. It was a precious moment for the couple, who have been together for over a decade.

Unfortunately, as soon as the pictures and videos of the same went live on social media, several people started trolling Usha Vance, speculating and accusing her of faking a smile during JD Vance's oath ceremony. While one user wrote, "Anyone else repulsed by Usha Vance's fake plastered smile and batting her eyelashes for the camera?" Another netizen quipped, "Usha's inner voice the entire time "one two three. Show teeth and hold 2 3 4 5. Close mouth. 2 3 4 5. And show teeth 3 4 5." It is unfortunate to see so many people trolling Usha for admiring her husband and speculating about things without any proof. 

Everyone is aware of the fact that there are so many people in the US who never wanted to see Donald Trump win. People knew that if Trump won, he would pick JD Vance as the country's VP, and Usha Vance, who is an Indian by origin, would become the Second Lady of the United States of America, which is something not likeable by many people. We have already seen so many Americans showing frustration and anger over the appointment of Sriram Krishnan, of Indian origin, as the Senior White House Policy Advisor. It will be interesting to see how Donald Trump and JD Vance will lead America.
