Celebrity MasterChef: Usha 'Tai' Breaks Down Recalling Her Younger Brother Who Helped Raising Son

Celebrity MasterChef is another one of a kind show, where celebrities are fighting to win the title of the best chef. Famous celebrities like Usha Nadkarni, Dipika Kakar, Tejasswi Prakash, Niki Tamboli, and several others have been fighting to win the cooking reality show, which is being judged by Farah Khan, Vikash Khanna and Ranveer Brar. 

Usha Nadkarni broke down recalling her brother on the show, Celebrity MasterChef 

In the latest episode of Celebrity MasterChef, judges asked the contestants to prepare a dish that they eat during festivals. Famous Chef Vikas Khanna revealed that when someone moves out of the country, they realise the importance of Indian food prepared during festivals. He also talked about how festivals become more important when a person is not in India.

In the promo, Vikas Khanna went to Usha Nadkarni, who was preparing a dish in remembrance of her brother, and asked her why she always said that she used to celebrate festivals alone. Responding to him, the actress revealed that her son used to live with her brother, and his wife, as they were alone. So, she would leave the shoot and due to this, she didn't get much opportunity to celebrate festivals at home.

Usha further mentioned that initially, her mother would take care of her son, and then her brother. However, she was left heartbroken as she recalled her younger brother passed away in June last year. An emotional Usha tai said:

"Uski yaad bohot aati hai."

Usha's heartbreaking memory of her brother, even made Chef Vikas Khanna emotional. He revealed that Diwali used to be extremely special for him. But after his sister's passed away, he was all alone in New York for Diwali. He revealed that all festivals ost their magic since his sister passing away. Vikas hugged Usha and consoled her.

MasterChef India is back on television but with a twist! This year, instead of the general public, celebrities will have a face-off to find out who is the MasterChef of India. The reality show had a great opening on January 27, 2025. Famous celebrities such as Dipika Kakar, Tejasswi Prakash, Nikki Tamboli, Faisal Shaikh a.k.a. Mr. Faisu, Usha Nadkarni, Kabita Singh, Chandan Prabhakar, and Abhijeet Sawant participated in the show. 

Talking about their salaries, according to Telly Talks, famous television actress, Dipika Kakar, who was first seen in Sasural Simar Ka, is taking home Rs. 2.3 lakh per week. Social media influencer, Mr Faisu, he is charging Rs. 2 lakh. On the other hand, Bigg Boss 14, Nikki Tamboli is getting Rs. 1.5 lakh per week. However, the highest-paid contestant on the show is Tejasswi Prakash as she is reportedly charging Rs. 3 lakh per week, and the second highest-paid contestant is Gaurav Khanna, who is going to get Rs. 2.5 lakh weekly.
