Bollywood beauty, Urvashi Rautela is an actress as well as the titleholder for several pageants. Since she made her pageant debut with Miss Teen India 2009 and her film debut with Singh Saab The Great, Urvashi has dominated the headlines for various reasons, be it her professional front or her personal life. Urvashi has always been one to say the first thing that comes to her mind, which tends to backfire more often than not. The same happened recently when she shared her thoughts on the brutal attack on Saif Ali Khan. Now, the actress has addressed her statements and reacted to the backlash she faced.
In a recent interview with Filmfare, Urvashi Rautela addressed the insensitive remarks she made while discussing the attack on Saif Ali Khan, which resulted in a lot of backlash from netizens. The actress admitted that she should have been more careful while discussing such a sensitive topic but also claims she was clueless about what had actually happened. In Urvashi's words:
"I should have been way more careful with the way I answered. I do admit I should have answered it more carefully I think. Also, this incident happened at 4 AM, at midnight, and the very next day, my interview happened at 8 AM, so was completely kinda clueless."
Urvashi further elaborated that all she had known at the time of the interview was that Saif had been 'hurt.' Talking about how she didn't know the extent of his injuries, the actress said:
"All I remember is that when I was waking up, someone told me that he (Saif Ali Khan) got hurt. He got hurt? I don't know the intensity of how he got hurt. It can be a little bit hurt. I really wasn't aware of the intensity of what all has happened with him."
Urvashi Rautela then added that as she was from the film fraternity, her whole heart was with Saif Ali Khan as she, too, felt very bad about whatever happened. However, the actress added that she still didn't know the entire story of what went down because every media channel had a 'different story.' Urvashi said that this made it difficult for her to know what to believe. This, in turn, made it harder to answer questions about the incident.
Talking about why she brought up Daaku Maharaj in the conversation, Urvashi said that they were busy promoting the film back then. According to her, she repeated what she had 'overheard' about Saif's case and then came back to the movie because those were Daaku Maharaj's success interviews. Urvashi then continued:

"I should have said things differently. There was a very quick jump of thoughts, and obviously, I love my parents, and I feel they are my God. So, I got a bit too excited with the kinds of gifts I got. I was a bit immature because I got way too excited. Hum Hindi mein bolte hai na, josh mein hosh kho dena. Shayad wahi hua mere sath. But showoff toh nahi tha, because showoff hota toh main chota sa mini watch nahi dikhati."
Urvashi Rautela's train of thought took a bizarre turn as she started focusing more on how well her recent film, Daaku Maharaj, was doing and the expensive jewellery she was wearing while talking about the attack on Saif Ali Khan. She kept emphasising that the movie had crossed the 105 crore mark at the box office. Urvashi also highlighted the diamond-studded Rolex that was gifted by her mother and the mini ring watch gifted by her father upon the film's success.
