Urvashi Dholakia is one of the most recognised faces on Indian television. She has been a part of multiple shows like Naagin 6, Chandrakanta, Pushpa Impossible, Kahiin To Hoga and more. But her role as the antagonist 'Komolika' in Kasautii Zindagi Kay left the nation gushing over her style, confidence and charm. But, the real life of this beautiful actress wasn't that rosy. For those unaware, Urvashi first got married when she was just 16 with the hope of having her happily ever after. But, soon, her world came crashing down as she parted ways with her husband at the tender age of 18. In a recent interview, Urvashi recalled how she dealt with such a big hit at a young age.
Urvashi Dholakia was a mother of two kids when she decided to part ways with her husband at 18 and had a whole life to figure out in front of her. In a new interview with Hauterrfly, the actress revealed that the separation affected her emotionally, and she distanced herself from the world by staying in her room for a month to process how things crumbled. She also took that time to understand the reality of her situation.
Urvashi added that she wasn't able to gather herself to talk with anyone and kept herself away from everyone. Moreover, she had to sit and plan how she would take things forward with two kids to look after. In her words:
"There was a time when I had locked myself in a room for a month just to introspect about what had happened. I literally shut myself down and didn't talk to anybody, just to figure out how to move forward."
Urvashi Dholakia raised her sons, Sagar and Kshitij, alone since she was 18. They were more than a year old then, and from then on, her ex-husband has been absent from their lives. He never had any contact with his sons after their separation. Consequently, the actress played the roles of both a mother and a father to them. Moreover, Urvashi revealed that it was her sons' decision not to know about their father, and she never forced them against it. Explaining her point of view, the actress said:
"We have had conversations, but they have also said, 'We don't want to know.' They were very clear. It was their choice. I tried a lot to tell them, but they clearly didn't want to know. Then, even I forgot."
Despite facing all these struggles, one constant helped Urvashi pull through all her challenges. It was none other than her parents. The actress mentioned that she can't imagine pulling through everything without them. She expressed her gratitude for their solid support through all the difficult phases in her life. She said:

"Separation is always painful, but I couldn't let it break me. I was very young. Without my parents, I don't know how I would have managed. If I am here today, in this moment and phase of life, the credit goes entirely to them."
