Streamer and cosplayer, Emiru, has been trending all over the internet, with a recent horrifying incident that took place on the very first day of TwitchCon 2025, in San Diego. For the unversed, TwitchCon 2025 started with high energy as the convention, which covers video games and technology, live streaming, and pop culture, marked its 10th anniversary. However, on the very first day, it's in the centre of controversy, as the popular streamer, Emiru, was sexually assaulted during a fan meet-up session. Amid this, speculations were rife that it was D4vd's bodyguard, MarkyNextDoor, who was arrested following the incident. Let's have a look at what the truth is.
If the reports are to be believed, Emiru was on the stage, and during a fan meet-up, a male attendee got up on the stage and attempted to kiss her on the neck. Such a shocking incident has left everyone baffled, thereby raising concerns about security measures. Amid this, several posts have gone viral, wherein it was stated that D4vd's bodyguard, MarkyNextDoor, was arrested at TwitchCon 2025, following Emiru's assault.
While the posts have been going massively viral, the truth is there's no such confirmation with MarkyNextDoor's arrest in links to Emiru's assault at TwitchCon 2025. No credible sources or the San Diego department have yet released any confirmation or statement regarding MarkyNextDoor's arrest, keeping the claims of the viral posts in the fog about their authenticity.
Following Emiru's harrasment, the social media users and her fans were outraged, and they expressed concerns about the safety measures of the streamers, creators, and others present there. Earlier, streamers like Valkyrae and QTCinderella shared their concerns about attending Twitchcon due to inadequate safety protocols, security, and crowd management.
Soon after Emiru was assaulted on the very first day, it surely intensified the ongoing concerns around the convention. If the reports are to be believed, Twitchcon released a statement a while ago, regarding the incident, revealing that they have zero tolerance for harassment, and the individual who was behind such an incident was thrown out of the premises. Calling the incident unacceptable and unsettling, Twitchcon, in the statement, said:

"The behavior displayed by the individual involved in this incident was completely unacceptable and deeply upsetting. We immediately removed this individual from TwitchCon premises, and they are banned indefinitely from Twitch, both online and in-person events. Twitch has zero tolerance for harassment."
For the unversed, Emiru is a famous streamer, YouTuber, and cosplayer, who is popular for his live streaming for League of Legends. Emiru is a co-owner and content creator for the gaming organisation, One True King. To mention, this is not the first time Emiru faced such a situation, and it was back in March 2025, when she was assaulted during a live-streaming marathon in LA. Talking about MarkyNextDoor, a Twitch streamer, he has been linked to D4vd in the past, due to some controversies, and especially regarding the Celeste Rivas Case, to which he denied being involved.
