Twinkle and Akshay had entered the married clan on January 17, 2001. Bringing joy to Akshay and Twinkle’s life, Aarav Kumar had taken his first breath on September 15, 2002, after almost year-and-a-half of their wedding. Yesterday, he turned 17 years old and his parents couldn’t thank God enough for blessing them with him. Both Akshay and Twinkle showered their lovely Insta-wishes and made his day even more special.
Akshay Kumar took to social media and shared a solo picture of his dashing son, Aarav. Along with the same, he wrote, "One thing which I learnt from my father was if I ever mess up,he’d be my go-to person instead of ‘Oh no!Dad’s going to kill me.’ Today, being on your speed dial makes me feel I’m doing it right.. I’ll always be beside you to guide you. Happy birthday Aarav."
The same picture was then reposted by Aarav's darling mom, Twinkle Khanna, who wrote, "Happy birthday! 'Flesh of my flesh and blood of my blood.' I know that you have always said, 'Mom stop saying these weird things.'" Adding a dash of her signature humour to the post, Mrs Funnybones further wrote, "But it is the truth, you have my cells and I have yours - leftovers hanging around in my brain or at least that's what science claims." Just like any other star kid, fans are equally excited to watch Aarav on silver screen. In a recent interview with the Hindustan Times, Akshay Kumar was asked about his debut. To which, he had replied, "He is just a 16-year-old kid, who is enjoying his life. There’s no need to discuss his career right now and put pressure on him. I feel that [kids feeling pressure] will happen only if the parents – in a way – put some kind of burden. I am very clear that whether my kids want to become a painter, doctor or open a restaurant, I am fine. My dad never put any pressure on me. He was like, ‘if you’re interested in sports and karate; and want to be like Bruce Lee, go for it. But become at least half a Bruce Lee (laughs).’ Aaj wahi cheez kaam aayi na mere."
Of late, Aarav was in the headlines for getting targeted by the the netizens on social media. For the unversed, in May 2019, Aarav was papped with his mom, Twinkle at the airport and he got trolled for his hairstyle, which was compared to that of Radhe Mohan (Salman Khan) from Tere Naam. Later, in a chat with the Hindustan Times, Akshay had reacted on the same and was quoted as saying, “I think anyone that tries to exploit kids without permission for their own gain might need to take a hard look in the mirror and ask themselves ‘would they want anyone to do this to their own children’? As for those that troll toddlers and teens, I have no words for that kind of behaviour.” (Do Read: Sushmita Sen Sizzles In Black Bikini With White Shrug In Her Latest Ocean Holiday With Rohman Shawl)
The khiladi had gone on to add, “Trash talking anyone under 21 publicly should be illegal. It’s sad that such a great and powerful technology such as social media is tainted by people wanting to hurt, mock, humiliate or just insist on throwing opinions with no fear of the damage such hate can cause the youth. All we can do as parents is, we can teach our kids to be thick-skinned and pity those that have the time to hurt others. Star kids have enough pressure in life; the world doesn’t need to increase it by trolling innocent children.”
Here's wishing a belated happy birthday to Aarav!
