Being a television actress is not at all a cakewalk as one has to be available all the time because of the prime slot. There are hardly any vacations or breaks for telly actresses and they have to strive really hard to match their counterparts. Unlike films, television is no longer a male-dominated world. Gone are the days when the male lead would be paid hefty sums and the female lead had settled with a meagre sum.
Today the leading actresses of Indian soaps are charging way ahead of their male colleagues. Television actresses are acing their personal as well as professional lives, enjoying a massive fandom across the globe. These actresses have earned more popularity and are also receiving huge paycheques than their husbands, owing to their television shows. Let’s take a look at these divas, who ended the male domination from television by earning more than their husbands.

Rupali Ganguly had etched a place for herself in the hearts of millions with the portrayal of Monisha Sarabhai in the show, Sarabhai vs Sarabhai. Rupali had taken a sabbatical from acting after the birth of her son, Rudransh. After her long break, Rupali returned to television with the show, Anupamaa, which is one of the most popular shows on Indian television today.
Rupali had begun the show by charging Rs. 1.5 lakh per episode, however, as the show TRPs skyrocketed, Rupali too had increased her fees to Rs. 3 lakh per episode. She is now paid way ahead of the male leads of Indian television. Rupali is married to Ashwin K Verma, who is a businessman and her biggest supporter.

Rubina Dilaik is a popular name on television as she has worked in shows like Choti Bahu, Shakti Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki and others. She got married to actor, Abhinav Shukla in 2018. Rubina had appeared on the reality show, Bigg Boss 14 along with Abhinav and after giving tough competition to other housemates, she had won the show and had taken the trophy home along with the prize money of Rs. 36 lakhs.
Rubina participated in the reality show, Khatron Ke Khiladi 12 and is shooting in Cape Town. As per multiple reports, she is reportedly paid a sum of Rs. 15 lakhs per episode for the show.
One of the most bankable actresses in the telly world, Divyanka Tripathi needs no introduction. After starting her career in All India Radio, Divyanka made her acting debut in a telefilm for Doordarshan. After several appearances on TV shows, in 2006, Divyanka bagged the show, Banoo Main Teri Dulhan, where she played a double role. She garnered a lot of limelight for the show.

In 2013, Divyanka played the character of 'Dr. Ishita Bhalla' in the show, Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, which successfully ran for six years, made Divyanka a household name. In 2016, Divyanka got married to her Yeh Hai Mohabbatein co-actor, Vivek Dahiya. Divyanka had participated in many reality shows and serials and had also won many accolades for the same. The actress reportedly charges Rs. 1 lakh to 1.5 lakhs per episode.
Stand-up comedian and reality show host, Bharti Singh is one of the most popular names in the world of television. She had participated in the comedy reality show, The Great Indian Laughter Challenge season 4 and it was her sheer dedication to her work, which had made her a star overnight.
Bharti is married to Haarsh Limbachiyaa, who is reportedly the highest-paid writer in the television industry. However, Bharti’s immense popularity makes her way ahead of Haarsh in terms of pay cheques. The talented comedian is reportedly paid Rs. 10 to Rs. 12 lakhs per episode.
Dipika Kakar made her television debut in 2010 with the show, Neer Bhare Tere Naina Devi, where she played the role of Lakshmi. Dipika then appeared in the show, Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo. However, her role as Simar Bhardwaj in the show, Sasural Simar Ka, gained her immense popularity.

In 2018, Dipika got married to her Sasural Simar Ka co-star, Shoaib Ibrahim. Dipika had participated in the reality show, Bigg Boss 12 and had won the show with the prize money of Rs. 30 lakhs. Anita Hassanandani made her television debut with the show Idhar Udhar season 2. Anita had appeared in many serials like Kabhi Sautan Kabhi Saheli, Kohi Apna Sa, Kkavyanjali, Kumkum, Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki, Kyuki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kasam Se and many more. It was her role as 'Shagun Bhalla' in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, which got her huge popularity. In 2018, Anita also played the role of 'Vishakha' in Naagin 3.

Best known as 'Gori mem', Saumya gained a lot of limelight for her role 'Anita Bhabhi' in Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain. Saumya was the Femina Cover Girl First Runner Up in 2006. After hosting a number of popular shows, in 2007, Saumya got Imtiaz Ali’s film, Jab We Met, where she played the role of Kareena Kapoor’s sister, 'Roop'.
Talking about her personal life, Saumya got married to her boyfriend, Saurabh Devendra, who is an entrepreneur in 2016 after dating him for 10 years. Sanaya made her acting debut with a cameo appearance in Yash Raj Film, Fanaa in 2006. In 2007, she made her television debut with the show, Left Right Left. She bagged her first lead role in Star One’s show, Miley Jab Hum Tum. Later, Sanaya was seen in shows like Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon, Chhan Chhan, Rangrasiya and many more.
Sanaya had fallen in love with her Miley Jab Hum Tum co-star, Mohit Sehgal. After announcing their relationship, Sanaya and Mohit tied the knot in 2016. Talking about popularity, Sanaya is more popular than her husband Mohit and reportedly charges Rs. 85,000-95,000 per episode.
